The Texas congressman who rattled the GOP establishment with his libertarian-leaning outsider run for president has suddenly found himself the target of the anti-incumbent Tea Party movement some credit him with helping inspire.

I want the Fed audited too and the Country Club Republicans voted out.
He’s got more against Israel than some aid money.
Trutherism.
Foreign policy pronouncements that must make Ward Churchill grin.
Earmark games.
There's three reasons.
“Sometimes I think libertarians secretly want to bore through the powers we delegated to the government in the Constitution. The IRS needs to be abolished. The best way I’ve heard to fund a limited government is a sales tax. Tariffs would do the same thing, I suppose, but it also a tax.”
The only thing the federal government should be doing in the way of overturning state law is in enforcing its supremacy insofar as its constitutionally derived powers are concerned. Maybe—and only maybe—it should be involved in ensuring the federal proscriptions on certain rights are not encroached upon by state action, but that is a big if, as every time it’s gotten involved in that, it’s spread out to encroach on those rights instead of protecting them.
And tariffs worked for years to support the federal government, and make sense given its powers of customs and border control. Sales taxes, depending upon how they are imposed, could conceivably give the federal government the power to control every business in the country. Tariffs, on the other hand, should work fine if the government is of a constitutional size...not a leviathan.
Because Ron Paul's foreign policy agenda is destructive to our Republic. If Ron Paul had his way, US engagement against the terrorists in both Afghanistan and Iraq would never have taken place. If Ron Paul had his way after 911, the Islamofascists would have had endless opportunities to kill even more people then they murdered at the WTC. If Ron Paul had his way, the Patriot Act, enhanced interrogation, FISA and the terrorist prison at Guantanamo Bay Cuba would have never existed. If Ron Paul had his way, ALL 500K+ US troops serving American interests throughout the world, would have been called home in a major cut and run effort, a historic retreat from our international obligations. In some cases, leaving our allies defenseless.
Ron Paul is a dangerous and naive libertarian loon and unfit to serve in Congress. Same goes for his kooky son, Rand Paul.
Rondementalists are delusional. And smell of ozone.
ZOT!
I KNEW it!!! This guy was pimping Newt on a few threads recently, I knew he’d go down hard.
Go back to DU, Rey!
I agree that tariffs seem like the least of the tax evils. America itself is a Divine miracle and we would need more Divine intervention to reduce federal government and taxes down to tariffs only. Thered be dancing in the streets. The idiots who dont know better wouldnt know what to do with the avalanche of prosperity that would be realized. Most would be happy and the Marxists hate people being happy.
Ron Paul Rocks CPAC
by: Kelley Beaucar Vlahos
Rep. Ron Paul, former Republican presidential candidate and leading light of the current libertarian grassroots movement, enjoyed a huge rock star moment at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), as he took the stage Friday to thunderous applause and a standing ovation in a ballroom filled to capacity.
>>Where’s your boy McCain? <<
McCain isn’t “my boy,” paulbot.
And none of “my people” waste time with trvthers, kooks and antisemitic folk like your ru paul, the nutjob.
Palin on Ron Paul.
Earmark this: Obama, McCain both vote Yes on Senate bailout bill
Yeah - the Paulistas are about that sound of mind, I think.
Well, as little regard as I have for those two men, neither one of them says, “Look at me, I’m so principled, I’d never dream of giving federal dollars to some banker.”
Paul is a con artist or a kook. Neither sort of man is worth following or hailing.
Not very strong ones
I think you must be a loon without a calculator
Iraq was a mistake and a very costly one
we don’t have the money!
The Patriot Act is a joke and violates our privacy rights
500,000 troops overseas is a mistake. Bring them home
we must prioritize. We don’t have the money to be the worlds policeman
WE ARE BROKE!
You sound like a Paultard. Ron Paul and his son are the loons. Two first class nutzie crackpots that belong in straightjackets and heaviley medicated. LOL
Let’s see Obama, McCain, Paul. How do you know who the loons are?
