Ryan Sorba booed off CPAC stage for anti-homosexual remarks
Right Pundits ^ | Feb 19, 2010 | Donald Borsch Jr.

Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organization’s California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPAC’s choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he “condemns CPAC”. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

Reagan was pro-gay rights. And it was not a position that he later repudiated, like his misinformed and deeply regretted pro-abort act as governor.

We aren’t the ones injecting sexuality into politics. They are.

Please back up that assertion with some facts, some links, anything if you expect anybody to believe you.

CPAC just learned that if you give these buggers an inch, they’ll take a mile. Problem is, I doubt they learned. They won’t learn until they are totally destroyed as an effective “conservative” organization.

Certainly, but by equating opposition with hatred they seek to intimidate the opposition into silence.

If we want to lose elections, we’ll keep acting like conservatives are only allowed to be conservative Christians. If we want to win, we’ll take sexuality out of politics.

You really don't know what you are talking about.

So when the GOP does what you want it to do, how are you going to replace the 30% of their base that are conservative Christians?

Whom are you going to replace them with and put together a majority coalition?

Gluttons aren’t trying to:

1. Redefine marriage to nothingness

2. Push gluttony as a positive lifestyle choice for our children in school

3. Close down all service agencies that oppose the promotion of gluttony

4. March naked down the street and calling me a bigot if I object

5. Make me and my minor children use open bathrooms where the gluttons barf all over the place

6. Force government employees to march in pro-gluttony parades and take gluttony love seminars if they mention opposing gluttony

7. Force our military to accept and place our lives in the hands of gluttons

8. Create and penalize thought crimes against gluttony

Don't ask don't tell. I don't want to hear about any one’s sex life and preferences at a political gathering period. This is an issue that belongs between people and their God.

It is especially rude for this group to push their agenda at CPAC, when they know that the majority of the attendees have profound religious beliefs to the contrary.

Otherwise, all individuals are welcome as individuals. Every one is free to speak their mind on issues, and no one should be interrupted during their speech.

No one should be treated rudely. I will pray that the Lord forgive and heal these tortured souls. I pray also that I be not angry, hateful, and sarcastic in my treatment of any human being.

I also pray that the Lord deliver us from evil, and guide us to follow in his teaching and accept his will.

I’ll tell you what. Those of you who are defending the homosexual agenda are on the wrong website. Free Republic is a pro-God, pro-family, pro-Liberty conservative site! We are 100% opposed to liberalism, socialism, wacko environmentalism and militant homosexualism. If you don’t like it you can take a hike or get banned for trolling! Either way, I want no part of it on FR!!

You'll never know how much I respect you Jim!

“Its nobody’s business what they do.”

It is when they push it as a political agenda.

My point being that if the group isn’t promoting gays, there’s no point in having a gay version of a conservative group, and if they ARE promoting gays, they don’t belong in the conservative movement because we aren’t about promoting the gay lifestyle or special recognition of the gay agenda.

Excellent point Charles!

Bravo!

We can’t stop the advance of the homosexual agenda unless we maintain political power. And I don’t see us winning elections as a party if the party is perceived as acting out of personal animus toward gay people.

And I think that to the degree the party looks like it is acting out of personal animus, the logical arguments against the homosexual agenda will suffer. We can support our opposition against the agenda without resorting to an argument from personal animus, and I think that is a winning argument.

I’m sorry if you think that somehow supports the homosexual agenda. My goal is to oppose the agenda, and to keep the country from falling further into an embrace of cultural perversion. I just think that on the political front, that fight is best engaged if we actually win elections.

I know some people don’t distinguish the political from the personal. Maybe I’m not making that distinction clear, and maybe it wasn’t clear that the “we” I was talking about was the political party (although I said political party in the same sentence).

It is my job to oppose sin in all it’s forms, and to speak against it. I want my political party to promote good things, and to oppose bad things, but I don’t want it to become an arm of the church. The fight is on multiple fronts.

I think Anti-Gay is Conservative...

We don’t embrace homosexuality, or adultery, or polygamy
or incest or abortion...

It does not mean you are condemning people to eternal hell, but those behaviours are not what any moral foundation is based upon..All those behaviours will destroy a moral society just like a nuke would....

Conservatism that does not uphold the morality of conservative Christians will end up being libertarian, which will end up being socialism or worse. And rejection of Biblical laws on sexuality is concomitant with other iniquities and foretells the demise of nation. I agree, but it has been encouraging to see that many in this thread recognize the fallacy of “conservative gay,” and the contradiction of the Republican Party catering to a gay advocacy group. The party that usually promotes individualism, and meritocracy.

Craig Shirley's book Rendezvous with Destiny, published in October by ISI. I don't have the page numbers, but it is mentioned a few times. Maybe the index will help.

What many of us resent is the political activities of gay rights groups, which attempt to suppress all opposition to their views and which seek not toleration but domination. The issue of marriage has come to the front because they have used allies in the courts to overturn electoral majorities and to subvert the constitutions of one or more states. Family law in this country supposes procreation and the nurturing of issue to be the main purpose of family units, because no large scale society can continue long without children. Gay relationships can be tolerated only so long as they don’t make claims on resources that should rightly belong to the next generations.

What do you call forcing the rest of us in the health insurance pool to pay for the abomination of nature via their procreative abuse of medical science - the creation of sperm from female stem cells, for example?

You're being a Useful Idiot.

1. Ideological subversion is the process which is legitimate, old word, and open. You can see it with your own eyes.  All American mass media has to do is to "unplug bananas" from their ears, open up their eyes,  and they can see it.  There is no mystery.

It has nothing to do with espionage. I know that espionage intelligence gathering looks more romantic.  It sells more deodorants through the advertising.  That's probably why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond types of films. But in reality the main emphasis of the KGB is NOT in the area of intelligence at all.

According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country.

It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages.

The first stage being "demoralization"....
