NYT, NYMag, WaPo, TIME Agree: Joe Stack Was One Crazy Teabagger!
National Review Online ^ | February 19, 2010 | Stephen Spruiell

Posted on 02/19/2010 2:50:57 AM PST by Zakeet

Responding to this post, a reader e-mails with a handy round-up of MSM attempts to tie Joe Stack to the tea-party movement:

Subject: NY times first MSM'er to make the "Tea Bag" connection

They had to stretch back 20 years to do it, but their crack researchers came thru in a pinch.

In April 1990, a firebomb packed with a tea bag — a reference to the Boston Tea Party — and addressed to the I.R.S. was placed in the mail in Royal Oak, Mich. It exploded, injuring a postal worker.

And while they appear to make it look like it’s all about anti-government and anti-IRS, they fail to mention his anti-Catholicism, anti-Bushism, anti-capitalism and pro-communism.

I guess it doesn’t fit the preferred narrative.

NY Mag piles on

“In fact, a lot of his rhetoric could have been taken directly from a handwritten sign at a tea party rally.”

WaPo's Capehart chimes in...

“But after reading his 34-paragraph screed, I am struck by how his alienation is similar to that we're hearing from the extreme elements of the Tea Party movement."

Then Time slips this one in not so subtly:

“Toward the end of what appears to be his final note, Stack wrote, 'Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let's try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.' (See the making of the Tea Party movement.)”

So it goes...

They can’t sit on the facts forever. Facts are stubborn things. Once more, egg on the faces of the liberal rags.

If you examine some of the comments made...Joe got into trouble with the California state tax folks as well...which most folks believe are twice as bad as IRS. You can actually move out of California...and unless you TELL them that...they have the expectation that you should still be paying taxes to them (Virginia has the same perception).

I think when the smoke clears and all of Joe’s issues are laid out...some folks will be agreeing that he got into deep issues with taxes and could never climb out. In some ways, it’s just not worth the effort to make any money in life...it’ll be attracting too much attention sooner or later.

I think the New York Times and other left-=wing propaganda outfits are truly sorry that Stack didn’t succeed in killing 200 people, so that Obama doesn’t have a pretext to introduce martial law. Well, maybe next time.

I think we need to respond with another round of Tea Parties. A few million people not getting arrested sends a powerfull message.

His rant also had anti-Catholic hate, a tirade against "organized religion", and a pro-Communist slogan.

What do you expect? They are all crazy ass delusional retards that lie at the drop of a hat to keep their dumbass construct of them being innocent “intellectual” victims, perpetuated.

DemoLefties are all friggin nutbag pervert liars, and they are so retarded, they actually believe their own lies, even when they are the ones who made them up!

Liberals are a seath cult whose members are too stupid to survive truely adverse times. They are all inevitable mass grave statistics.

‘B Ark-ers’ to their genetic cores.

Joe Stack apparently suffered from a catastrophe of faith.

His faith in government collapsed. This paints him as a progressive.

A hard core statist who in the end discovered the fraud in statism.

The first round of tea parties back in April drew some 2 million people all across the country and I don’t think there was a single arrest. That trend continued all summer into the fall and still stands.

EVERYTIME this gets mentioned the response should be:

Amy Bishop was just a normal college professor (who also happened to be a Far-Left Extremist "Obsessed" with 0bama)

Yepper. As clear as day. He wanted free health care and a sharing of the wealth. I'll bet he believed Oboma was going to pay his health insurance premiums for him and give him a huge tax break with Bill Gates millions. When he found out Oboma lied, there was no free ride, and the big cash to bail him out wasn't going to materialize, he lost his mind.
I'll bet we'll be seeing more disillusioned Oboma supporters before 2012. The shooter at the college was also an Oboma freak who thought the world now owed her, because her messiah was in charge.

Funny that every libmedia outlet seems to keep out his rant against “puppet GW Bush and his cronies” — and his anger at the “joke we call the American medical system … [that’s] murdering tens of thousands of people a year.”

Sounds like a lefty to me.

Obama’s cohorts were rioting and blowing up a building at the UW-Madison back in the 60’s.
