I just made it to the office, the building hit was not the FBI building. It was one of the Echelon buildings which are mixed office space (generally). But the building is nearly completely destroyed.
Anyone in Austin: avoid the 360-183 exchange if you can, it’s a nightmare.

And “Birds Nest Airport” is about 2 miles due east. Used for a lot of small planes like this.

Seems like a lot of damage for an SR-22. Looks like the building is a total loss.
To: Lurker
No, but they did mention 9/11.

With the hit in the center of the building, it was on purpose or the pilot had absolutely no control (whether conscious or not.)Fox still on the incapacitated pilot party line, plane was seen flying erratically, dodged wires before hitting building.

If you’re talking about Penn Field in South Austin, it was converted to commercial space long ago.

Considering that it IS tax time, could it be a disgruntled person...say, someone who the IRS was going to wipe out with tax liens, who may have decided that since they were ruined, why not take out some of the so-and-so’s with him/her?
Just a thought.

They are saying it was a Piper Cherokee? That does not make sense to me at all. Too much fire for a small plane like that

I just screencap.
I didn’t even realize what the Foxnews banner said until I went back and looked at the cap because of a couple of posted comments.
