I agree with Rush’s take on this.
She would run again as an “R”.
She is returning a favor. If McCain
loses, she will endorse JD Hayworth.
I suspect JD knows all this too.

He gave an interview to Roger Hedgecock the other day and this very thing came up. He said he wasn't worried about Palin's endorsement and he understood why she came out for McCain.
Agreed. Ideology is certainly important in politics, but team and personal loyalty is what makes parties work. Sometimes you have break with the person in public, but it should be rare. A loner or maverick may be fun to write about, but they don’t get much help from others.
I’ll bet that in AZ, McCain has been somewhat consistent with his state folks. I’m not a fan of McCain, but can certainly see what Palin is doing. She is also saying, publicly, that she will support and won’t stab team mates in the back. Teams form around people like that.
Her problem is that it will look like her personal appeal on behalf of a candidate has disappeared.Hayworth is going to win this one whether Sarah campaigns for McCain or not.
We will have to see if Sarah comments favorably on JD.If she really takes out her knives and goes after JD, she will have crossed my RINO line IMHO.
McCain must go.He is a huge obstacle to the re-reaganization of the Republican party
Gee, isn't that 'big' of her!
Why doesn't she wait until after the primary and just endorse the winner?
