She ran with a RINO. She campaigns for a RINO. So did Reagan. Palin's support of McCain does not tarnish her at all. She said she was going to campaign for him (long before J.D. declared) and she's not going to go back on her words. That said, Hayworth should still be supported. You betcha. Sarah will keep her word. She's a classy lady.

From Rush Transcript:
"Ill say again, Sarah Palin is not a tea partier, she spoke there, but she is a Republican, and Ive interviewed her a couple times for my newsletter and the radio show, but I havent gotten into any of this kind of thing. We talked about her bio and her book. So my guess is as good as yours. But I think if shes going to have a political career, its going to have a big capital R next to her name, not a capital TP or some other party, not third party. Shes going to go Republican." Those that think Sarah is the leader of The Tea Party need to re-read the transcript.
Those determined to support the Republican Party in its entirety, RINOs and all, will add your assistance to "absorbing" this outstanding revolution.
As I stated in another thread, the current leaders of the endorsement force, and to me, possibly of the Tea Party cause, are Mark Levin and Sheriff Joe.

Politics isn’t really your strength is it? You think that the GOP has collapsed and is finished?
Do you even keep up with politics and elections? The GOP is ascending, they are looking at one of their best elections in history this year and things are looking great for regaining the Presidency in 2012.
Winning in 2012 would maintain the GOP traditional winning of the Presidency for the last 60 years.

THOSE were the reasons we got Obama. But not the topic of the thread, so my last post on the subject (hopefully. :)
Unfortunately, your hero GWB did indeed contribute to the rise of 0bama, and he did that by generally REFUSING to defend himself, his administration's policies, he allowed his political adversaries to set the agenda and to paint the most unfavorable picture possible, which the public gobbled up without question.
When a politician allows his enemies to define him/her, he is already sunk. George W. Bush never got over his aspirations to "change the tone" in Washington which was just another way of saying what McCain does all the time about "reaching across the aisle", Bush was no conservative and he admitted that when he stated that there "was no conservative movement" and that he had "redefined the Republican Party".
George W. Bush should have been out on the campaign trail and saying something like this:
"the junior Senator from Illinois has never held a job in the private sector, he has associated with Communists, terrorists and those who would tear down America and he makes no apologies for that, his entire philosophy is based on Marxist teachings, freely admitted in his own autobiography, he has even less experience than Jimmy Carter did before he assumed the Presidency in 1977 and we all remember all THAT turned out, now don't we?"
George W. Bush could have at least TRIED, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it, and we could see the handwriting on the wall in 2006 after he and his strategic 'genius' (har har) Karl Rove managed to lose BOTH the House and the Senate.
Nice work George. Nice job Karl.
Thanks for nothing.

She is not remotely as knowledgeable about military and foreign affairs as Hunter. Get real, imaginary candidates? Hunter isn't running and never was really running in the first place, that is why he never ran outside of his district in California, his 2008 feint was to keep attention on his son to keep the Hunter seat in the family.
Quit beating a dead horse and posting about fantasies, if you want a fantasy then try to imagine California Congressman Duncan L Hunter running for office in California outside of his safe, conservative district, that I live in. He could have run against Meg Whitman for Governor.

You're right, she may not run. She hasn't declared, and she won't until 2011 at earliest, like anyone else who will run. She's acting as if she will, doing the things she needs to do as if she will, and it's been fun to watch. If she doesn't, she has a great place in pushing conservative principles and will be a leader in that way for a long time.
I do like that she's taking on Bambi and the dems like no one else. I do like that she's the one framing the debate. I do like that she's the only one so far who can, and is, trying to bring the tea party people on board. She's great for conservatism in so many ways.

Sorry to be impolite, mk, but the subject is off topic and I'm not going to comment further.
But thanks for not aiming any malicious, dishonest blasphemy at me this time. I appreciate it more than you will ever know.
btw, how's that New Year's Resolution coming along? Hope you're sticking to it like the rest of us conservatives have been doing for decades. :)

I know you hate the Republican party, Man, but you need to realize that you include in that hatred, millions of solid, Constitutionalist Conservatives.
I hate socialism regardless from which wing of the socialist Republicrat party it exists. You need to realize the Conservative Tea Party movement began and continues to grow specifically because neither faction of the Republicrat party represents Conservatism.
And that now apparently includes Sarah Palin. Your loss. She's a winner.
The only loss is supporting someone who has conned you into believing she is a Conservative. As Limbaugh stated she is not a Tea Partier, she is a Republican. He understands the distinction.

She's great for conservatism in so many ways. That's her strong suit right now as I see it.
She may not run, but she's a shot in the arm for conservatism, and that is GOOD.
It remains to be seen whether or not she will be the best candidate we can come up with in '12.

I've been part of the Tea Party movement from its inception. When I marched on DC, I was aiming at the Republicans in part and the Dems in full.
Oh..........and I wasn't 'conned.' I listen to what the woman says and have observed what she'd done. She's a conservative Republican. Just the kind of person we need.
Third parties mean more Obama and the Marxist left. I really don't think that's what you want, is it??

Well said!! I really believe McLame threw Palin ‘under the bus’ to blame her for his lost Presidential campaign...and her book gave me that impression ‘between the lines’. She can be grateful to him without endorsing his ‘ideas’ but it is very sad and confusing to conservatives to see her in his camp at all! I am hoping she is not being naive about who was really responsible for all the bad things that have happened to her.
To: aMorePerfectUnion
Palin does not need Mccain as an anemone.
Her problem is that it will look like her personal appeal on behalf of a candidate has disappeared.Hayworth is going to win this one whether Sarah campaigns for McCain or not.
We will have to see if Sarah comments favorably on JD.If she really takes out her knives and goes after JD, she will have crossed my RINO line IMHO.
McCain must go.He is a huge obstacle to the re-reaganization of the Republican party

If another conservative comes along who is better, I'll switch. I keep asking people who it is that's going to appear, and so far there just isn't an answer.
The most likely field: Pawlenty, Huckabee, Romney, Palin. Dark horses: DeMint (a senator who probably won't run), Barbour, Jindal. 1%ers: RonPaul, Keyes, Hunter (and a few other nut jobs).
The governors of New Jersey and Virginia may be great candidates in 2016, but they're not going to run yet. If anyone can remind me of another realistic candidate I've forgotten, please add to this list.

The GOP is ascending, they are looking at one of their best elections in history this year and things are looking great for regaining the Presidency in 2012.
The OP(formerly the GOP) isn't ascending. The Conservative Tea Party movement is ascending and the OP is trying to latch on for the ride.
Winning in 2012 would maintain the GOP traditional winning of the Presidency for the last 60 years.
That depends on your definition of winning. McAmnesty being elected President would have been an OP victory but certainly would have been a loss for Conservatism. Anyone who supports him is agreeing with his principles. Should such a person run for office it would result in the same situation. You're more concerned with party over principle. That attitude is precisely why the OP has become increasingly accepting of socialism.

You're assuming we have a two party system. The reality is the OP and the socialist RATs are two sides of the same coin thanks to the OP appeasing the latter many times over the years to expand the voter base.

Our problem in 2008 is that we really didn't have much of a choice. Either a person with a closer alignment to our views, but completely unelectable, or an electable candidate who had many flaws.
I am praying (literally) that God will bring forth someone who will be the righteous leader we need right now; one who is fiscally hardline conservative, morally solid, strong on national defense and in support of our military.........in other words, someone who is perfect. ;)
What I do know is that God has led this nation in the past, and in the last year I have sense that He hasn't given up on us yet, and that is my hope.
