Rush Limbaugh on the Tea Party movement the Republican party and the conservatives Sarah Palin her Daytona beach appearance and McCain. Rush Limbaugh says that Sarah Palin is not a Tea Partier , she is a republican first and foremost, Rush Limbaugh believes that Sarah Palin owes McCain the fact that she is what she is today and that it is a payback time for her to McCain , it is an obligatory payback says Rush Limbaugh.
I hope you’re proven right but Freepers were wrong about George W. Bush being a conservative and history could be repeating itself with Sarah Palin.
this is so idiotic, why is he doing this in the midst of the healthcare uproar? why is he doing this at all? because 6 NFL players tested positive?

And neither is Sarah. She is her own woman with some of the strongest principles of anyone who's come down the political pike. I'm not endorsing her for President..........yet...........but I sure do admire her for her unwavering principles.
The idea that she should be thrown overboard for this choice to endorse the man who brought her to national attention, is, IMO, silly.
Your point?
We can’t control what Acorn does, but we can certainly control how we examine and support our own candidates.
Rush and Palin are wrong on this. This is not the general election. McCain is worse than a RINO - he is a RINO with a rotten, mean streak.
That’s it? That’s “disparaging?” Wow, he really skewered her, didn’t he? /s/
They were right about him being the 'more conservative' choice and frankly, with what we faced with, for most of his tenure, he was conservative where it mattered. As William F Buckley put it, he is conservative but he isn't A Conservative. (in other words, he is on balance more conservative on the scale but he isn't a Conservative champion).
I admire her for showing grace under constant attack by the radical left.
I simply DO NOT want a repeat of a compromising RINO George W Bush presidency. That’s what got us Obama and Senate and Congress controlled by Democrats. A false sheep will always lead you astray.
No, it's nonsense to question someone who decided months ago to support McCain BEFORE anyone declared to run against him.
It's nonsense to call Palin a RINO when she has clearly endorsed far more conservatives over RINOs, and who's record of accomplishments and speeches is clearly conservative.
“McCain is shamelessly using Sarah after letting his staff and even wife and daughter criticize her.”
I don’t disagree with that. If that is the case, it reflects poorly on him. Sarah Palin is bigger than that. What, if anything McCain and his people do reflects on them. I think Palin views this as a matter of duty. And she is going to do her duty in this matter as God has given her the light to see that duty. I would not presume to second guess her. Once she has done this, I believe she will be quits with McCain.
RINO = Republican Infighting Nets Obama!
Hey, Tom, that’s not exactly true. I love Fred but everybody knows he’s always been tight with McCain (something I can’t understand).
Sarah, on the other hand, owes her political career to McCain and she knows it. It would not only look really tacky to refuse to support him now and that’s not her character anyway.
She will support JD if, God willing, he wins the nomination. JD himself said he would support McCain if he wins the nom.
I think Rush believes we can win back the presidency with a good REPUBLICAN conservative candidate and the main thing he’s afraid of is some 3rd party rearing it’s ugly head.
A lot of people seem to forget that DB H. Ross Perot gave us 8 yeaars of Clinton.
Thanks for posting the transcript, iowamark. Can’t say I disagree with Rush on his explanation for Palin’s endorsement. Just before he gave this explanation, Rush trashed McCain.....lol.
George W Bush was not a strong conservative. You get what you vote for and support. That’s my point. GW gave speeches before he was even president talking about “the new world order” but in 1999 you couldn’t say that here on Free Republic without being attacked or kicked off the board.
We need to be smarter about our next candidate for President. MUCH smarter. We can’t be like the liberals and make our decisions on emotions, but put our thinking caps on and look at our candidates squarely and honestly.
If Palin considers her loyalty and obligations to a politician greater than those to the Constitution, then that’s unfortunately all I need to know about her. :(
Huh?
“Look how that turned out.”
Now why don't you tell us?
How did it turn out?
Agreed. Ideology is certainly important in politics, but team and personal loyalty is what makes parties work. Sometimes you have break with the person in public, but it should be rare. A loner or maverick may be fun to write about, but they don’t get much help from others.
I’ll bet that in AZ, McCain has been somewhat consistent with his state folks. I’m not a fan of McCain, but can certainly see what Palin is doing. She is also saying, publicly, that she will support and won’t stab team mates in the back. Teams form around people like that.
Rush didn’t push anyone in the primary and if you listened to him, you’d know that. I’m pretty sure he favored Fred but he never singled out anyone for praise.
People who criticize Rush should at least listen to him, unlike the MSM.
