McCain Leads Big; If Hayworth Loses, He'll Back McCain Conservative talk-show host and former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth launched a bid for John McCain's Senate seat that was seen as not only dangerous to McCain, but emblematic of a GOP election landscape....

These miscreants should be forced to print a clarification on the “newness” of that polling data....but,alas,they will not.
“nervous Republicans got good news today”
Michael Steele, John Cornyn, and their ilk? The “have you hugged your RINO today crowd?
So how did they handle the “bad news” when Rubio took the lead in Florida after starting out as a mere blip in the polls, when it first looked like Suntan Charlie would skate to victory?
The race is just beginning in Arizona. I think it will get interesting.

If Hayworth falls within 10 points of a NEW poll then McCain is history. By the time the primary gets here his many off the farm chickens will have come home to roost.
Hey, I donated to JD. He better win or I want my money back.
This is typical RINO Progressive jibberish.
11. “If McCain pushes a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.
Besides the idiotic new age gibberish, this tactic highlights the RINOs heads I win, Tails I win method of governance.
This is exemplified by the phenomena that the RINOs always come out on top even when it is their ideas that screw things up. To them, the answer is always more government, even when the problem IS the government, so they think they cant lose.
This is roughly what the final margins will be.
I wish I lived in AZ so I could vote against the #1 RINO in the US OF A! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
It is precisely the right thing to say.
It represents Republican solidarity. Conservatives should want the conservative to win the primary. But, if we lose the primary, we should want the least liberal to win the general.
Moreover, Hayworth has set the trap for the same question to be asked of McCain. And what do you suppose his response might be?
Well, JD give up the race before you have started. Who is next that AZ can vote for.
I predict that Hayworth is going to gain a lot of ground on McCain and he will be able to thank Obama.
The reason? Obama will push for amnesty (”comprehensive immigration reform”) this year while he still has the House and the Senate.
People in Arizona do not want amnesty, and it will draw a stark distinction between McCain and Hayworth.
Also, watch how easily McCain will go negative in campaigning against Hayworth, compared with how McCain refused to publicize anything negative about Obama.
This is truly a sucky-butt article.
For starters it doesn’t say when JD said that on “p m s n b c,” and it only quotes JD as saying:
“I am going to support the Republican nominee,” Hayworth said. “I fully expect to be that nominee.”
I seriously doubt that he said “I will support McCain.”
FALSE TITLE! FALSE CLAIM!
Wha? LOL - that Atlantic article links to a FR posts about a poll from a MONTH ago.
Right.........!!!
6 months is a lifetime for some...
We shall see....
I can't speak for bmwcycle but I can tell you that it is NON news when you are starting with data that is almost a month old and events have transpired since that poll to change the numbers.
The Atlantic article is irrelevant and until Raz has an up to date poll his numbers are meaningless three weeks after the fact.
He didn’t go negative against Zero because the fix was in. If McLame was a true patriot he would have leveled down on Zero with both barrels and a load of “who hell is this guy we know nothing about him”
I hope Hayworth cleans his plow.
The Atlantic? Really? First of all, Hayworth only declared his candidacy a day ago and second...actually , I can’t think of anything else.
There’s an upside to McCain not tanking TOO early - so long as it looks like he could be the nominee, it scares away top tier Democrats in AZ. And that’s money better spent elsewhere.
Crist led Rubio by 30.
Fail to see the importance at this stage. Get back to us in 2 months.
Seeing you post month old, pre-announcement polling numbers in a sad, desperate attempt to boost McQueeg makes my heart smile. Excellent work.
August is going to be fun.
This is totally ridiculous. McCain will turn on his base as soon as he is reelected.
He turned on his base during his election.
His wife has turned on him and on his base.
His daughter has turned on the Tea Party people.
Basically, he has no base. Senator JD. It’d inevitable.
