SNIPPET: "ISTANBUL, February 12 (CDN) -- An Istanbul court has ordered the release of a jailed Turk who publicly threatened and held a knife to the throat of a Christian he attacked six months ago.

In a ruling on Wednesday (Feb. 10), the Kadikoy Seventh Court of First Instance convicted Yasin Karasu, 24, of making death threats and mounting an armed attack against Ismail Aydin. Shouting to attract passersby as he held a knife to Aydin's throat on Aug. 3, Karasu had denounced the Christian as a "missionary dog" who had betrayed Turkey by leaving Islam and evangelizing others."

We’ve been at war with these pigs for 1400 years and nothing has changed.

Except that we’ve forgotten we’ve been at war with these pigs for 1400 years.

When you treat your home for cockroaches you set out the poison and attempt to kill them, Many times you stop setting it out before they are eradicated and they return, They sneak out at night at first and as they grow they begin coming out all the time. Soon you are infested with them.

It is so with Muslims. Many times they have been beaten back, but each time they survive, start sneaking back until their strength grows and they become an infestation.

They have reached the infstation stage now and we must start the process to rid ourselves of them , or they will rid the world of us.

This isnt a political war, this is a religious war with fanaticism running rampant, it is kill or be killed and we had better decide which we want to be.

Where’s the news here, I thought that was a ‘normal’ muslim negotiating tactic (not that there’s any ‘normal’ muslims mind you).

Here’s the guy behind the change and he’s living in the USA supported by you.

Protest to get this man out of the US. Or just keep doing nothing.

What on Earth does that guy living in the US have to do with what this Turkish judge did?

I'll save you some time.

Nothing.

He heads up the sect to which the government there belongs to. They’ve been working on islamicizing the government structure since 2001. By now the entire cabinet is staffed by this guys followers, and so is the police force, the higher educational institutions, and now even the judiciary. Soon the military will be next and then back to the monarchy and sharia law, and finally the cherry on top: the caliphate.

What the heck do you know. Yes, your previous government figured that the arabs would buy into democracy if Turkey, the only democracy over there would be less secular. So while this guy was wanted in Turkey back in 2000, you people hid him here figuring on using him when the time came.

Man, when my grandmother was judge 40 years ago that guy would have paid for that assault. Today the country is run by a bunch of bastards who make their wives wear turbans, and who report to a another bastard who lives in the USA and wants to be king of my country, and who is obviously here to provide a means for the US to influence the direction Turkey takes.

“What the heck do you know.”

You would probably have got better results linking to relevant sourced information rather than the guy’s personal website, which just confused people.

“you people hid him”

Fix this & be more specific pls. I did nothing of the kind. Previous poster did nothing of the kind. You want to make that “state dept”, “Bush admin”, “CFR”, “men in black”, or what?

It certainly sounds interesting & this is the 1st I have heard of it.

look under legal issues:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fethullah_G%C3%BClen

This article seems to be rewritten by the man’s followers.

Ergenekon is a way to put all dissenders into jail similar to NAZI and KGB ways.

TSK is the Turkish Armed Forces.

He made speaches where he preached a return to sharia law and then ran off to the USA in 1998. Hes been here since and his people run the country there now. Secularists are benig hauled off ot jail without arraignment if they dissent under Ergenekon.

“been here since and his people run the country there now”

As I say I’ve never heard of this before - if this is true it sounds very similar to how Khomeini was in France until 1979

It began in 662AD.”

Turkey needs a new Ataturk, someone to grab it by the collar and forcibly drag it into the ranks of civilized nations.

The current Islamic fervor shows the limits of democracy. The great majority of urban and middle-class Turks support secularism. But the huge majority of the Anatolian koylus--urban Turks ttranslate it as "country bumpkins"-- support Islamist parties.

Turkey is going to get worse before it gets better.
