Rand Paul: Iran Wants Nukes Because It “Feels Threatened”
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | Calvin Freiburger

Posted on 02/16/2010 2:05:11 PM PST by Michael van der Galien

It turns out that crackpot Ron Paul’s son Rand can understand why poor, innocent Iran might want nuclear weapons—they feel “threatened” by big, bad America (hat tip to Rand Paul: Too Kooky for Kentucky for the video):

There isn't any debate involved. And sometimes, the shoe fits.

Yup. Anyone who buys into this cheap drugstore paperback psych approach to real world calculations is unfit to hold office.

If you are trying to get a message out would you turn down interviews?

Because of simple judgment knowing if the interview will turn into a situation where you message becomes second fiddle to the message of the interviewer.

Kind of like advertising, you don't just stick your message everywhere. You put your message where it will have impact. You don't advertise Depends Undergarments in a strip club.

If I’ve got this right this video is from 2007 while campaigning for his father?

It’s not clear to me where this was. Looks to me like it was a Ron Paul campaign event.

Anyhow, looks like the original site promoting this is a RINO statist anti-Rand Paul/pro-Grayson site, so I’ll take it with a grain of salt.

True. Alex jones is notorious for cherry-picking an interview to make it sound more to his liking.

I’m sorry I don’t believe that. Jones has less than zero credibility. Being interviewed by him shows a serious lack of judgement, at best,

Yep. Rand Paul routinely goes on Alex Jones' radio show, plus Rand has invited 9/11 Truthers to sing and perform at his campaign rallies. The guy is neck deep in the Troofer movement, but his supporters continue to deny it. Debra Medina first, Rand next.

..and any interview with Alex Jones means you are automatically associated with Alex Jones, so it is about him, not your message.

The exact same reason why any reasonable candidate shouldn’t go on David Duke’s radio program or on Playboy TV. Just because it is a medium to get a message out doesn’t mean it is the right medium.

I would have bet money on that one and couldn’t figure out why people were supporting him on here except it tells me there are a lot of Paul Bots on this site.

I'll tell you why. Rand Paul isn't a Democrat, like the other candidate in this primary.

I think the current regime in Iran SHOULD feel threatened by the USA

They've flourished since 1979 and we have not lifted a finger against them. You can think what you want obviously, but the schmucks in charge over there know the US a lot better than you do.

This was Ron Paul, Rand Paul was representing him at this meeting and giving the Presidential candidate's views in 2007, he said, he wants, he believes.

Trey Grayson and Rand Paul are both nutty. Which is why any sane Reagan/Coolidge conservative should get behind the actual conservative in the race: Bill Johnson

Just keep Rand away from any foreign policy decisions and we will be fine.

I have no particular interest in Rand Paul being elected, since I don’t live in Kentucky, and only favor his stated issue positions.

What I oppose is RINO-ism, and that is what is behind this post, which is why I responded.

Bill Johnson sounds like a real Democrat to me (sarcasm):

Fellow concerned citizens, we are at a turning point in the history of our nation. Jobs are moving offshore, the economy is weak, taxes are increasing, and prosperity is fading. Our elected officials offer expanded government, more spending, and industry takeovers as the solution. Socialism is taking hold.

I am not a politician. I am a concerned citizen, military veteran, and businessman who believes it is time for new leadership in Washington. I want to be a voice for concerned citizens across the Bluegrass State who have ‘had enough’ of politicians violating our trust. For that reason, I am running in the 2010 Republican primary for the United States Senate. I stand for limited government, low taxes, strong military, gun ownership, marriage between one man and one woman, and life begins at conception. I look forward to seeing you on the campaign trail.

To answer your comment Greyson is the former Democrat not Johnson who is the conservative candidate in the race and deserves the support of people on here. You want to see a real conservative be elected in KY then get out the support Johnson.
