Joe shouldn't be critical of himself for speaking his mind about McCain. He didn't break Reagan's 11th Commandment at all. In order for him to really break the 11th Commandment McCain would have to be a true Republican, one that supports limited gumbint, not someone that just pays lip service to the idea. McCain is a long, long way from wearing the moniker of what I would consider a true Republican in the mold of Ronaldus Magnus.....

Yes, much better than what he said earlier. Unfortunately, the press will not report it, because it doesn’t further their agenda the way his earlier, incautious words did.

He can write better than your average New York Time columnist. Heartfelt and meaningful.

JTP was excoriated yesterday by the same people who lauded him during the '08 campaign.
Here he expounds on what he recently said and on what he meant, without it first being distorted by the media.
Ironically, many who yesterday assailed him are also the first ones in line to protest unfair; biased articles about Palin, that misrepresent her, and caution us not to be manipulated by the will of the media.
Perhaps these folks should take their own advice before venting their spleens.

Excellent article by Joe “The Plumber”. He speaks from the heart and keeps it real. I wish Palin would stand on her principles and respectfully drop her support for McCain. In my humble opinion, that alone would increase her support from conservatives.

I think Joe did an excellent job on this. John McCains achievements as an American cannot be dismissed. His love of country is real. Somewhere along the way though, he failed to remember what he’d been fighting for.
I have said before, McCain deserves our respect in many ways. It is for that reason which we must send an old man into retirement with the dignity he’s earned, not the politics he’s played. There is evidence, despite the fact that I voted for him in 08, that he’s off the reservation on some really key issues.
As much as I think that he believes he is doing whats best for America, I more strongly believe that Joe is correct. Washington has changed McCain, and not for the better. Not for into man he should be, but into the man Washington thinks he should be.
Well John McCain. Cocktail parties be damned. You can enjoy them when your out of the path of fame and soundbites. If Hayworth beats you, its not because we don’t respect you. It’s because we’re trying to save what’s left of your pride.
