'Warming' meltdown: Climate 'consensus' cracks up

Climate alarmists conjured a world where nothing was certain but death, taxes and catastrophic global warming. They used this presumed scientific certainty as a bludgeon against the skeptics they deemed "deniers" -- a word meant to have the noxious whiff of Holocaust denial.
All in the cause of hustling the world into a grand carbon-rationing scheme. Any questions about the evidence for the cataclysmic projections, any concerns about the costs and benefits were trumped by that fearsome scientific "consensus," which had "settled" the important questions.
A funny thing happened to this "consensus" on the way to its inevitable triumph, though: Its propagators have been forced to admit fallibility.

If we demand these frauds return the money or we'll throw them in prison for the scam I wonder how much we could pay down the deficit.

Do not declare victory so early. They have been pushing this nonsense for twenty years, simply ignoring all contrary evidence. They will not give up this easily. They are going to wait a couple weeks until things calm down and the media talk about something else, and then they will continue business as usual. Look forward to trillions of dollars being burned on the global warming altar. Cap&Trade!

Global Warming, a criminal enterprise of phenominal proportion that should not, must not go unpunished.
It’s amazing, interesting, and frightening it went as far as it did, and even more frightening that even though exposed as the lie it is, the Leftists are still trying to con the World that we must give them the power over our liberties, and treasure to combat their make believe evil.
We’ve been assaulted by an enemy of freedom.

By tying the Holocaust and global warming together, by using the term, deniers, and the subsequent lies fabricated, by the climate “terrorists,” only strengthened the Holocaust deniers. Oh, I forgot, in their world the end justifies the means.

Oh, there is going to be warming throughout the globe. It’s probably going to erupt in a hot war...a fighting war...over this gigantic lie its proponents are using to try and enslave us all and take away every last bit of our freedom.

I agree, as soon as the snow melts off the White House lawn and we get our first 70 degree day (even if we have to wait until April), the global warming baloney will return in full force.

Oh, I forgot, in their world the end justifies the means. They advanced their agenda by foisting it upon impressionable and gullible children through indoctrination in schools. Nefarious!

Be skeptical of any problem whose only solution is massive redistribution of wealth. I think you and Rich Lowry have it right. The article reminds me of when, as a child, I would say to my parents "But everybody is doing it" and they would ask me to be specific about "everybody". That is the false power of a wrong-headed consensus whereby you choose to go with the crowd so you don't appear to be out-of-step rather than thinking for yourself.
Couple consensus with a deep dip into your pocket to finance it and you have a sure recipe for a loss of freedom.

Anthropogenic Global Warming Anthropogenic Climate Change is the scam too big to fail.
From Rush Limbaugh Show 2/12/10:
- Story #4: BBC Has Pension Investments in Climate Change
RUSH: This is interesting. The BBC's coverage of global warming is embarrassingly biased. It's pro every scam and every item of the hoax -- and do you know why? The BBC has $12.5 billion dollars of their pension funds invested in climate change investments!
That's $12.5 billion of the BBC pension fund, that's for their employees, is invested in climate change investments; scams like carbon trading and all those other crazy things that are nothing more than financial scams -- and lest we forget, folks, remember the University of East Anglia, the Climate Research Unit, whoever sent those e-mails to show that a giant scam was taking place, they were first sent to a BBC weatherman who sat on them. And he had to send them someplace else because the BBC did not act on it. Here's how absurd -- and it gets more absurd each and every day.

Weve been assaulted by an enemy of freedom. At the very least, we should be framing the debate in these terms. "Just what did you hope to accomplish through this deception, huh??"
Seeing the intentional deceivers receive some justice would be very satisfying, but Rom 12:19 says vengeance belongs to the Lord.
