JUST BREAKING....RED STATE DEMOCRAT RETIRES.
thaT Tamyra is on the PRIMARY ballot. Somebody will join her on FRIDAY .... just watch.
Who’s the ‘chicken’ now?
Coats is old school, he went along with Clinton on his incrementalism, and I think he retired because of the backlash to his support of Clinton’s gun control agenda.
We would be much better served by a young, true conservative, like Hoestettler.
I'm not sure what Massachusetts type political shenanigans you're referring to, but if Indiana can manage to send off its version of Scott Brown, that will be fine with us working behind enemy lines.
*snicker.
Won’t lose FLorida? Rubio will bet Crist.
Not if they don’t have the required signatures turned in by tomorrow noon. Today is a holiday so offices are closed and the proper forms cannot be pickup up to fill out and have signed. So they’ll have approx four hours to get the job done....OH and BTW we’ve had over eight inches on snow so far today and it’s still snowing....Roads are covered.
Won’t lose FLorida? Rubio will bet Crist and he will beat the Democrat. The Hispanics love Rubio.
my instinct is to look at what committees he’s on and if he knows something that could hurt us
After all these years, my passion for service to my fellow citizens is undiminished, but my desire to do so by serving in Congress has waned,
As several other posters have suggested, he'll likely become a "centrist" Dem leader and assume a kingmaker role.
Too bad, I'd like to see the whole party stampe to the left as fast as they can, hurtling over a cliff shrieking Kumbaya.
“He was unhappy with the liberal take over of the D party. Hes basically a conservative D...even though he seldom voted against the party line.”
What you are witnessing is the breakdown of the Democrats in to the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, vs. THE DEMOCRAT MARXISTS PARTY.
They are drawing lines now.
I don’t know. I guess they could field someone if no one objects. The big question is who?
“One Democratic official said the state party will lean on a provision in state law that allows party leaders to select a candidate on their own in the case of a vacancy on a major-party line.”
Won’t work.
The Party can only appoint to fill vacancies occuring AFTER the Primary, and the Repub Sec of State, Todd Rokita, is a sickler for following CAMPAIGN LAWS AS WRITTEN.
You won’t see any New Jersey, Massachusetts-style shenanigans here.
Armed Services
Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs
Energy and Natural Resources
Small Business and Entrepreneurship
Select Committee on Intelligence
Special Committee on Aging
Couple of interesting ones in there.
Welcome to FR!
VERY interesting! We have a smorgasbord of info he knows, the intel cmte stands out for me
Banking and Intelligence? Paint your own nightmare scenario if you like.
“I’m not sure what Massachusetts type political shenanigans you’re referring to”
Last-minute candidate Replacements like in New Jersey, or fast law changes like Massachusetts did for Kirk.
IMO something bad...really...really bad is headed our way and these people who are dropping out like flies want no part of it.
The writing is on the wall for something big for sure.
BINGO!
