When Rush Limbaugh used “retard,” suggesting a “retard summit” at the White House, it was “satirical,” Palin recently explained to her Fox News colleague, Chris Wallace”

Personally, I use the term “retarded” quite often to describe the loony left idiots, Keith Olbermann etc, but that doesn't mean I am going to go out there, and use that term to describe an actual down syndrome person or child. I think there is too much political correctness already. I agree with Rush on this one.

IIRC, Kathleen Parker used to be a conservative. I think she and Laura Ingraham are good friends. She almost seems to be pulling a Peggy Noonan.

Ms. Parker Romney has been pimping for Mitt
and helped throw Election2008 to Obama.

Kathleen Parker: "Romney would bring more than squeaky clean qualifications
and youthful good looks to the ticket.
Romney would seem a logical choice."

"Parker: Romney raised bar on freedoms"
Kathleen Parker: "If Kennedy's speech was an important landmark in American political history,
Romney's was surpassing. With heartfelt humility and poetic eloquence,
he tracked the nation's struggle with and for freedom."

"Kathleen Parker: After Interviews, Palin Should Bow Out"

Kathleen Parker: "[I]t is increasingly clear that Palin is a problem." "Parker ... says something publicly that many of us have thought privately
but lacked the courage to say out loud - Palin should step down:"

Michelle Obama uses her kids as an example of fat kids. She had to change their diets to get them at normal weight. The only ‘picking’ has been on Michelle for embarrassing her girls.

Strange, when the Lefties were exploiting Christopher Reeve to push for fetal stem cell research, it was called being sensitive to the needs of a human being. When Michael J. Fox et al began pushing his Parkinson’s Disease, it was called being sensitive to the needs of a human being. Intersting what brain damage comes to a liberal Democrat.

I actually agree with her on this. Parading her child around on stage during the campaign really turned me off. The child should have been in a safe area instead of exposed to the noise of thousands of people screaming and yelling and the overwhelming lights. Any child less than two should not be exposed to this.

Me too, though I was actually much more appalled by her exploitation of Bristol. Parading her visibly pregnant teenage daughter across the stage at a nationally (and globally, in clips) televised political event, along with her scummy boyfriend, while telling the media they're in love and planning to get married, when that was obviously not true and just being said for political spin, was beyond disgusting, and did long-term harm to Bristol.

Sarah was most offended by the way the comment was delivered. There was nothing playful about it; it was meant to be offensive to the people at whom Rahm Emmanuel hurled it, thus his use of the expletive with the insult, “retard”. THAT why Sarah was contrasting Rahm’s delivery, versus the way Rush Limbaugh might say it.

I'm not so sure I would want to take the advice of an 'enemy'...

This Parker “b_tch”, sure has it out for Sarah. She’s sure down on all fours for Romney.

At the time of the convention, Bristol and Levi WERE planning to get married, because she was 'in love'. Apparently he wasn't, and she came to understand that when the baby was born. She, and her parents, weren't the first, and won't be the last to make that mistake.

Sarah Palin would have been slammed for 'hiding her daughter', if Bristol hadn't joined them, and she got slammed for 'exploiting her' for letting her join them on the campaign trail. It was a damned if you do, and damned if you don't situation. I suspect Bristol WANTED to be out there. What an exciting opportunity to travel the country, that she never dreamed she would ever have. Why would she not want to take advantage of that?

BS. The ONLY source for that claim was Sarah Palin, who was scrambling to maintain her image as a “family values” candidate. There’s no evidence whatsoever that Bristol and Levi ever had intention of getting married.

Bristol was 17 and had screwed up badly, and shouldn’t have been allowed to appear on stage at the convention even if she wanted to (which I doubt she did).

Team Romney is pulling out all the stops
in their attacks on Gov. Palin.

Shame on them.
