Now that the infamous 1998 Lancet study implicating vaccines for causing autism has been retracted, does the anti-vaccination movement have any scientific legs left to stand on? Here, we investigate the scientific merit of some of the other lightning-rod studies from over the last decade that anti-vaccination advocates say back up their claims.

I have found this subject to be like religion or global warming to some, so be prepared.

The article was an interesting read, and certainly not representative of the Popular Mechanics I grew up with.

If anyone wants hard data on vaccines....go to the VAERS reporting site. The site does explain it limits data, however, it will give you decent info on actual reported vaccine reactions in patients. You can at least make a semi-informed choice for you and your family. ;)

Even if they can debunk the vaccine autism link satisfactorily enough to convince people about that, there’s still the concern about other side effects to the vaccines.
