The CO2 Lie (One more domino falls)
IBD ^ | Feb 10, 2010 | editorial

Posted on 02/11/2010 2:20:17 AM PST by The Raven

Climate Change: A new study shows that Earth's ability to absorb carbon dioxide from all sources, including man, has remained unchanged for 160 years. As it turns out, there may be no carbon to offset.

A major tenet of the global warming religion, straight from the Book of Gore, has been that the ability of the earth to handle increasing CO2 emissions is finite and that once the "tipping point" is reached, the earth will warm uncontrollably. Well, another climate domino has fallen — the myth that man-made CO2 is leading to climate catastrophe.

..

The new study, ..show that only 45% of man's emissions, not 100% as warmers claim, stays in the atmosphere, ..

The rest is absorbed by nature, and that percentage hasn't changed since 1850. ..

.. This post-Climate-gate study provides another nail in the coffin of cap-and-trade and shows why the Environmental Protection Agency should not be allowed to destroy the U.S. economy by absurdly regulating carbon dioxide, the basis for all life on earth, as a pollutant.

Not surprised. Green plants (including microscopic plankton in the sea) consider CO2 to be a yum-yum.

So the final nail in the coffin of so called “AGW”.

Now when do the massive lawsuits and criminal indictments for worldwide fraud start landing on fat Al Gore’s desk?

That pompous horse’s behind just cannot get off scott free after pulling a swindle like this.

LOL. Hubby and I were discussing this today. He is a biology major. I said it sounds to me like we just all need to plant some trees. He laughed and said it made more sense than cap and tax.

LOL. Tried that when we lived in Springfield, Mo. Didn’t go over well. City Hall issued Citation and gave us 5 days to correct or be fined.

Al Gore is just riding the same horse that Bernie Madoff and Ken Lay came into town on.

Essentially, pulling something out of thin air this time. And a very small fraction of air at that, to boot.

As far as an agent of climate change, carbon dioxide cannot possibly compare with the simple water molecule. Why isn’t anybody getting into selling “water units”, as that apparently a very scarce and valuable product.

I have a “Yeah but....” question

If the earth absorbes 55% of the CO2 - in the plants and ocean.......how much of it is permanent and how much is not (later re-emitted after decay?)

I presume what they are saying here is the entire 55% is permanent???

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is not only the enemy of the American people and the capitalism underlying their standard of living, the AGENCY IS THE ENEMY OF ALL PLANT LIFE ON EARTH.

The frauds at the EPA are trying to peddle the monstrous lie that CO2, necessary for all vegetative life, is a pollutant!

My God, that is a scientific fact we learned in elementary school.

We can only hope and pray that Washington DC will be continually battered by vicious weather year-round. The federal employees who work there should be prevented from ever going back to work. These troublemakers, like those at the EPA, are deniers of truth, and of science and would destroy life on the planet if left to their lunacy.

That 55 % enters the normal carbon cycle of life. Which of course means the biosphere will grow. The AGW Worshipers hate all life, not just us apes. At any rate, the economic collapse should have done enough to limit human generated CO2.

Now here’s the problem:

Knorr arrived at that figure by relying solely on measurements and statistical data, including historical records extracted from Antarctic ice. He did not rely, as the CRU did, on badly written computer models with built-in fudge factors to direct the data to a foregone conclusion.

Where’s this guy get off actually using real data? It reminds me of a story my younger brother told me about an economics professor he had.

A student asked the professor if he ever tried to apply his theories. The professor answered “Once, but the results weren’t what was expected so I quit doing it.”

Do not allow yourself to use the recent cold weather as the argument against the climate change groups.....it is no better than pointing to a heatwave as evidence of climate change.

The walls are coming down and the data is clearly showing the lies that were disseminated by scientists who allowed their political beliefs to over-ride facts.

Articles like this are great sources of information we can use. Massive amounts of snow in DC is just as rare as a Cat 5 hurricane hitting New Orleans and does not help either side.

HOAX exposed AGAIN.

from the article:

“Another result of this study, reports Anthony Watts at WattsUpWithThat.com, is that emissions from deforestation, caused in large part by the clearing of forest land to grow allegedly planet-saving biofuels, may have been grossly overestimated. This finding agrees with results published in November in the journal Nature Geoscience by a team led by Guido van der Werf from VU University in Amsterdam. It reanalyzed deforestation data and concluded that resulting emissions have been overestimated by a factor of two.

We have tried to help document this growing disparity between observable data and apocalyptic computer models that cannot even predict the past. This post-Climate-gate study provides another nail in the coffin of cap-and-trade and shows why the Environmental Protection Agency should not be allowed to destroy the U.S. economy by absurdly regulating carbon dioxide, the basis for all life on earth, as a pollutant”
