Interview with Sarah Palin (Palin *NOT* for Amnesty)
Univision ^ | October 26, 2008 | Univision

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

You Lie.

Our party is different than any other party. We make our political associations and candidate endorsements based on core principles, not on party labels or registration.

So, if the Republicans see fit to run decent personhood pro-life, constitutionalist, peace through strength, moral conservative, Reaganite candidates, we’ll support them. As we are in a number of federal, state, and local races, by the way.

If they won’t do that, they don’t get our support. It’s that simple and straightforward.

I’m not “Alan Keyes’ chairman.” That’s a lie. One you tell again and again and again.

Keyes has never won an election and never will. He borders on psychotic. He is the poster guy for OCDs

Which also means that he never has to actually do politics, all he really needs to do to make a living, is stroke a tiny group of followers, the more intensely, the better.

It is imperative that Keyes and EV stop Palin, by the way do they expend much effort against Mike Huckabee, who Keyes endorsed in 2008?

Sheesh. Alan Keyes didn’t endorse Mike Huckabee. As usual, you’re making things up as you go along.

Hallelujah! You decided to return.

Why should Sarah have to say anything? She doesn’t hold elected office and immigration reform will likely be addressed while Obama is in office.

I’m calling B.S. on the issue by Sarah detractors like you.

Nothing short of a Tom Tancredo speech would make you happy.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Obama supports amnesty as does McCain. Mitt and Huck don’t. They signed the NumbersUSA amnesty pledge in 2008.

I asked YOU, not your party.

You are not going to be backing Keyes in 2012?

You have been repeatedly given links in this thread, showing you where Sarah Palin clearly stated she is not for amnesty, only for you and “Engineer_Soldier” to keep right on repeating your lies, over and over again, oblivious of reality.
This entire thread is a joke. This particular interview has been posted on FR by the anti-Palin jihadists at least 10 times in just the last few months alone, only for yet another anti-Palin troll to post the self same garbage again on yet another day, then totally misrepresent what was actually said in that interview, and totally ignore what Sarah Palin has said in subsequent interviews on this same matter.
This is clearly a determined attempt to cause mischief, and needs to be responded to in a very robust manner.

We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

That is called an amnesty. This is what Palin said in her Univision interview:

As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?

There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

Notice the use of the word "humane" in both the Univision and Larson interviews.

Whatever. I’ve asked Palin’s supporters for proof of her change of heart on this critical issue, and what they’ve provided continues to raise questions. Questions they won’t answer, of course.

You’re really not different from other Sarah detractors.

It’s a B.S. issue because she doesn’t hold elected office and “immigration reform” will be addressed while Obama is still in office.

Nothing short of a Tom Tancredo speech will satisfy you, and that’s not going to happen.

2008 Alan Keyes runs in the Republican Primary and fails

2008 Alan Keyes runs in the Constitution Party primary and fails.

2008 Alan Keyes forms his own party, America's Independent Party and somehow wins the nomination.

You are the Chairman of AIP and you will be running Alan Keyes for President again in 2012.

This OLD story has been knocked down six ways to Sunday. Sarah did this interview as McCain's running mate and had to toe his line by following Schmidt's script.

Since then she has backed way off, and said that she wants to close the borders and crack down on illegals. I don't know how much clearer she can get.

George Wallace ran under you banner...and you carry it onward...

and this:

“So, if the Republicans see fit to run decent personhood pro-life, constitutionalist, peace through strength, moral conservative, Reaganite candidates, we’ll support them. As we are in a number of federal, state, and local races, by the way.”

Is a laugh when you are attacking Palin claiming she is PRO-amnesty..

Reagan gave amnesty to 2.5 million illegal imigrants...

Maybe you should stop dragging his corpse around with your agenda stapled to his forhead...

You’d piss on Reagan if he ran today...
