PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti Parents of some of the children who 10 U.S. missionaries tried to take out of Haiti after its catastrophic earthquake told a judge Tuesday that they freely handed over their kids, the Americans' lawyer said.
The parents' testimony means no law was broken and "we can't talk any more about trafficking of human beings," attorney Aviol Fleurant told reporters.

Truer words never soken. If this had been the UN trying to get these kids to a safe adoption situation, their efforts would have been lauded across the globe. But since it was evil white private American Christian citizens, it had to be demonized and criminalized. It’s sickening to read some of the posts agreeing with the propaganda on all the threads on this subject. The best thing I can say about such people is that they’re very stupid, rather than saying they’re downright evil.
Most of the ethnicities who have come as a bloc to America did so to improve their lot in life as you say. That presupposes they have some skill or ability or usefulness which they will employ to improve their lot in life and that of their descendants. Thus far, Haitians who have come here have been nothing but a burden, although I expect there are a few anecdotal exceptions. But as a group, Haitians are a useless burden on our society. Cubans are not. They’re productive, hard-working, and have the initiative, ambition and impetus to assimilate, progress and succeed in our society.
There is no system for the missionaries to access in Haiti. There was no physical location for them to even go to for the paperwork. After the “authorities” picked them up, they tried to shake the missionaries down for $300 per child. When the missionaries couldn’t or wouldn’t pay, they were charged with kidnapping, arrested and jailed. Now, what that says is that the kids were not the issue with the authorities, to the extent the authroities are real authorities. The money was the issue. The kids were good to go as far as these “authorities” were concerned until the missionaries refused to pay up. They were probably lower or mid-level “officials” who thought they had some “rich” Americans they could shake down to pad their own pockets instead of them always having to watch the guys at the top get the American gravy $.
Sovereignty? LMAO. This was a shakedown.
The “authorities” of this exalted “sovereign” nation demanded money from private American citizens and when they didn’t get it, suddenly the missionaries were committing a crime. The “authorities” of this “sovereign” nation were perfectly happy to “sell” these kids for $300 per head. When they didn’t get it, they resorted to the same thuggery we see in all the other tinpot, banana republics around the world. The only kidnapping that happened here was of the missionaries when they were jailed, not in the effort to take the kids to the DR.
Get a clue.
yeah?....and??? and what do you expect from the 3rd world.....btw there are other nations that make it easier to adopt....like Guatemala and the Philippines...stay out of the worst offenders and the heck with em...
btw zer0bama is trying to turn the USA into a 3rd world nation....maybe in the future, Haitians will come here to adopt our unwanted children...perhaps from Appalachian meth whores....
Nobody said it was exclusive to Haiti. The case we’re talking about happens to be in Haiti, and that would be why the poster posted the info in connection with Haiti. When there’s a conversation going on about Obama and the U.S., we’re talking about what happens in the U.S., not Swaziland or Switzerland. See how that works?
I don’t expect anything from third-world hellholes like Haiti except more of the same. I agree - stay out of them, period, whether it’s to adopt, vacation, or even change planes.
I agree with you about zero trying to turn the U.S. into another third-world cesspool.
As for Haitians coming here to adopt, ;), I’d rather they start with the offspring of Detroit or Chicago crack whores and leave the Appalachian meth whores alone for the time being. They’re less violent.
Agreed! ; )~
No thanks. I’ve known Haitians, too. I don’t want to wait ten generations for them to get off welfare and using lawsuits to make a living.
Well, they are here and more will be coming because of the earthquake. We won’t stop them.
Hang onto your wallet.
