Im sure some idiot at Audi thought these Green Police commercials for the Super Bowl would be funny. I found them downright offensive and not the least bit funny.
In the collection of ads below, you see a guy at the store pick plastic when the checkout gal asks paper or plastic and the Green Police immediately arrest the earth-destroyer for his intended assault on Mother Gaia. (Didnt these enviro-idiots come up with the plastic bags some 20 years ago to save the earth from all the trees being killed for paper bags?) You also have Green Police digging through peoples trash for batteries, and shining a searchlight into a guys kitchen for putting (or not puttingnot being a green wacko, Im not sure which is proper) something down his drain. And (oh my) we have evil maniacs being busted for using incandescent light bulbs, plastic water bottles, and having the water too warm in the hot tub. Of course at the end of the commercial, you have the greenie driving an eco-friendly car who is blessed by the Green Police High Priests.
If Audi really meant to point out the idiocy of the green movement and its very real threats to freedom they failed to deliver anything which clues the viewer in to a message that We think this is nuts. The commercial is presented with too much seriousness to be taken any other way than as approval of such Gestapo tactics. But if Audi wants to appeal to the real environmental wacko out there, they definitely hit the mark with these commercials.
~snip~
These earth-worshipping morons might have thought they were being cute; maybe theyve been drinking too much of their own Koolaid and have totally lost touch with reality.

I thought it was a funny ad... Mocking the green nazi’s, but showing you can still get a decent MPG in a cool car. (Not the clown cars the green police were driving.) TDI are excellent. What’s wrong with getting 40+ MPG, while having room for 5 people with the ability to go 100mph. (yes, i know that’s speeding)
I also realized that some people on here can really suck the fun out of anything...
Actually......Audi has a series featuring the individual “green policemen” educating us on being environmentally good citizens on youtube. They are pushing the green thing....
Of course, one of my favorite Cheap Trick songs was the background music, so I at least enjoyed that part of the commercial.
Liberals have no sense of humor.................
What’s creepy about those ads is that they are very funny. They successfully mock the idea of the Green Police. But then at the end of the ad, they declare themselves to be ON THE SIDE OF the Green Police. That makes no sense.
This would make a great ad for a big, gas-guzzling SUV or a Hummer. The ad would say, “To hell with the Green Police. I’m a free American and I’ll drive what I like.”
On the contrary. What these ads do is mock the idea of Green Police and then go on to say: “Kneel down to the Green Police. Our little green car will help you do it.”
I don’t know what on earth they were thinking of to run something like that. It just goes to show that liberals are even more out of touch with reality than we thought.
Somehow I missed the Audi Green Police Ads. Good thing I did, I prolly would have ‘done an Elvis’ to my TV.
It was funny in a creepy sort of way. Only crypto-fascist Greens could have actually liked the behavior of the “Green Police.”
Wait a minute - how do you know those critters weren’t endangered?! You may have destroyed a natural habitat!!
Someone needs to lighten up. This was Reno 911 dressed in green.
I didn’t like that ad at all! Very anti American if you ask me!
Do away with the EPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Um, yeah, just watched those videos. It’s pretty obvious to me that they’re making fun of the green movement. But, I’m no expert.
If Washington really wanted to do something positive regarding energy policy (apart from opening up our huge oil reserves to drilling) they'd encourage the use of diesels in passenger cars.
That's a key point that many on both sides miss. Conservatives don't hate the environment, they hate being legislated and lectured to. If the market -- that is, consumers -- will support it, then fine. If the market won't, then the government has no business forcing us to buy it.
The only thing I can think of is that it’s so scary it’s offensive. I think (hope) it will wake more people up to the direction that we’re going and stop it.
This ad agency hit the ball farther than a steroidized Mark McGuire.
It was great use of ridicule to marginalize the kooky greenies. The subsequent squealing proves that it was extremely effective.
If you are catching flack, you are over the target.
Of course, while I was watching it, I was saying - time to shoot back.
You get it.
The portrayal of the average Joe's not "shooting back" was a vicious hit at the watermelon thugs, as the "green police" were portrayed as jackboot thugs, even toward the real police.
Socialist authority always ends in ordinary citizens ending up in Gulags, camps and mass graves, and the ordinary person can extrapolate easily from this ad.
Thankyou Audi!!!!
This is the image I want Joe average to have in his mind when he hears “Green”, “Renewable” or “Environmentally Friendly”! I want the Cheap Trick tune ringing in their ears when Dem Pols are talking.
I don’t know what their intentions were, but I applaud the results!
