Letting the federal government do anything BUT allowing us to buy across state lines (and changing current tax deduction) is unconstitutional and a plan for disaster. But Obama plans on setting the ‘rules’ of this debate, meaning to come up with a plan that does some set of idealistic goals. Rather than talking about his two bills.

NOW suddenly he’s all for televising talks?

If they do go ahead with this, I pray the Republicans get a handle on how to express their own cogent ideas and don’t play into his obvious plan to make them look like obstructionists.

If the Republicans are naive enough to be co-opted, then they will be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and should be held accountable at election time.

Nope... There’s sufficient buzz around his handling of the GOP at their retreat that he thinks if he can get himself on camera with them, he can again make them look like the obstructionists, etc...

Exactly! He had his trial run and now figures he's warmed up to look like a real hero. Ann Coulter had a good article about this..said zero doesn't answer direct questions but sets up straw men that are ridiculous and then makes his argument against that when it was never included in the original premise. I sure hope our side isn't too polite to nail zero on this.

The Republicans should hire Sarah to be their lead negotiator. Send her in first to see if the table is the right shape and size.

The Republicans should announce their desires before hand and ask the president if he is willing to adopt (or even seriously discuss) any of these points. When the President, or his running dogs say no. The GOP can say, well we tried. There will never be a restart, 0 even said so.

I doubt if this ever comes to pass but if it does those Republicans attending better bring their own cameras.

Because they gotta know Chairman O is going to lie about whatever happens in there.

>> Do you really think normal people pay attention to pundit crap on friday night and the weekend?

Do you really think normal people care much about anything?

The GOP retreat is important in that it showed substantial weakness of the minority party - Obama dominated the event. The Democrats are eager to reproduce the dominance in front of a larger audience hoping to humiliate the GOP and regain control of the debates.

It's a proxy battle in that the Administration hopes to quell the Citizens, Conservatives, Tea Party, et al. by hammering the House minorities - the hapless, "middle management" GOP gang that's claiming responsibility for the phenomenal grassroots activism.

Hussein is crafty in selecting his words. I wonder if there is another congressman or senator with the guts to yell out
“LIAR”? That would be too good and very, very true !

I laugh at the fact that he feels the need to hear all the ideas. Does he not know them? He’s the President! Politics is what he does all day. How is it possible that me - a working stiff - know the Republican ideas and the President doesn’t? That’s impossible - which means this whole meeting is a sham in the first place.

Obama could get health reform TOMORROW by insisting the Republican requests of either tort reform or allowing health insurance to be sold across state lines be included.
If he did this, one or more of the RINO’s Snowe, Collins, Voinovich, Graham, Mccain etc...would cave.

The fact that the Dems have not offered any of these as compromise is just more proof that they are not interested in actual negotiations or bipartisanship. They just throw the words around because they sound good to the uninformed. We know their idea of bipartisan negotiations are “You do what we say.”

No , the GOP lost the spin war no the actual event .
Obama came off as an assh*ole but his buds in the state media kept spinning the event and are still trying to.

Again, no one outside news junkies heard anything about.
Friday night and the weekend is the graveyard for news.
Why do you these commies do all the bad news dumping on Friday.

The Senate and House GOP is going to tell him start working on job creation and move on.

The commie is getting desperate.

Like golf?

What an empty suit ....HE already WASTED A WHOLE YEAR ...what’s HE going to waste another year now ??

We'd be lucky if he wasted all 4 years. The more he "accomplishes" the more we're screwed.

We need to IMPEACH the sucker ...NOW !!

Don't hold your breath. We can't even get rid of a Treasury Secretary who's a tax cheat.

I am sick and tired of all the LIES ....and then MORE LIES !!!

Amen, Sis.

Before HE was trying to stuff it down our throats ...NOW HE WANTS TO JAM IT UP ....you know where !!

Up our Joe Bidens?

What the hell do we pay this MUSLIM for anyway ??

Because 53% of us were effin' Rahm Emanuels in Nov., 2008.
