February 07, 2010 Palin 'Would Be Willing' to Take On Obama in 2012
By Judson Berger - FOXNews.com Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race. Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.
The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama's "lack of experience" has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.
"I would be willing to if I believe that it's right for the country," Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012. She qualified the statement, adding that she sees "many" other potential candidates who are "in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they're in a better position than I in three years, I'll support them."
But the former GOP vice presidential nominee told "Fox News Sunday": "I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future."
She delivered the keynote address Saturday at the tea party convention, using it to hammer Obama as soft on terrorism. When convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of "President Palin" in a question-and-answer session afterward, audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of "Run, Sarah, Run."

By the way, EV is now accusing me and people like me who would like to see Roe v Wade overturned as being pro-choice because we’re supposedly saying that we would be happy with some states allowing abortion to be legal. Now that’s twisted. Hell no I would not be happy with legalized abortion in any state. EV and his twisted party can take a flying leap at a rolling donut.
Ummmmhummmmm.
IAFZ.
Silly troll.
Oh you’re dead alright.
May Couric will be out of CBS by that time and no more interview....
GO SARAH let’s take the country back from the traitors!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, this was a speech given at a grass roots convention, not a GOP convention.
You don’t get.
The grass roots is sending a loud and clear message to ALL.
We don’t need no stinkn GOP!
I’m sick of hearing “THE GOP DOES NOT HAVE ANYONE FOR 2012”
I can care less what today’s DC Insider GOP says!
A fool rears its head-! FLAME ON-!!!
The GOP is an antique that has worn out its welcome....it either picks up us teaparty folks or it dies.
Thats the truth.
I think that I see the disconnect here. In my heart- I feel that the value of being pro-life is not just about the decisions one makes in there own personal life. I think that is also a matter of if we enable those who are not pro-life to further there agenda. I feel that if we choose to raise pro-choice people up into a position of further influence and power then we are failing God in a great way. So I have a real problem with Palin or anyone else who does that.
I have some dear friends(elders) who go to church several times a week, and praise God all the time. They have always pointed to scripture as I grew up. Yet they voted for Obama. I can’t tell you how much that hurts my heart. Because they say they believe in one thing, and yet they enable those who stand against what they are suppose to believe in. I just can’t see how that makes the world a better place. Well I should go find something else to do, and keep my mind of from it. Have a good night.
I agree. That is twisted logic. it sounds like you are just for states rights(Including the right to rule against Abortion). I am always for getting the federal government out of the states.
Now don’t go pushing the Keyes anti-Palin propaganda. Sarah Palin is pro-life.
Danm the nattering nabobs of negativity! Full steam ahead!!
Go Sarah!!
I question who Sarah really is as well —very young children ( 3 and under), especially those with handicapped conditions need their mothers - not their mothers on the side as we do our presidential thing. Read the book the First Three Years -
I am a pro lifer such as you and feel the grave sense of caution that you feel.
Conservatives should look for someone who has unquestionable principles.
We need a good solid man- for this purpose.
This does not make me popular - I have been accused of being a troll-
Free is free - (meaing expression of opinion) and we should be able to have our say without the ad hominem attacks
Jim has an itchy trigger finger these days. Lots of trolls around from the August-October 2008 time period. Two I know of got the boot last night. I could recommend at least one Ron Paul type on another thread who in separate posts says she’s a Rino and is glad Obama won. I resisted the temptation to respond and feed the troll.
zot
Yes, the PaulBots are Obama enablers.
Their vote is an attempt to see Obama have a 2nd term.
Let me guess...Mitt?
Don’t worry about people accusing you of being a troll.
If you aren’t a troll, the mistake is on them.
If you are a troll, it means your attempts have failed and your value on the thread is zero. Nothing gained, nothing lost.
Palin already looks and sounds more Presidential when giving a speech than the current resident of the White House. Can you imagine what the media would have done to her if she’d pronounced corpsman “corpse-man”? She’s not as smooth in her delivery, but I don’t think the people want smoothness in a President these days.
Every day that passes reveals just how empty the suit in the Oval Office is.
It’s not her time...too soon.
