As of 10:00 am, I measured exactly 24” on the nose on my patio table in Columbia, Maryland.
A BliZZard is a pretty rare thing in DC as I recall.. this one is hugh.
And the shelves in the grocery stores must be empty. I work for a grocery wholesaler, I just got done planning multiple trucks of groceries to deliver to a chain there tomorrow.
This one storm has done more to stimulate the economy than anything that MaoBama has done the last year.
Let’s all pray that it lasts until, say, NEXT November when America’s ADULTS will run the Obozo Dems out of town.
We got bupkis in Connecticut. Not even a stray flake floating around.
“Huddle at home” — I’m all for that. How about “Red — Break RIGHT on 2 November!”
“Snow piles up, paralyzing nation’s capital”
All of that global warming is keeping the givernment from attacking more of our rights.
Thank God for global warming.
GLOBAL WARMING! GLOBAL WARMING! *ahem* I mean..uh.. CLIMATE CHANGE! CLIMATE CHANGE!!
Have you noticed the increasingly panic-inducing tone in announcements from the weather bureau and in weather related newspaper stories like this? "Huddle at home"? ROTFLOL!
Surprised algore isn’t scheduled to speak at a conference on global warming in DC. This is the kind of weather that usually follows him around. LOL.

What is the Government doing for these poor people, huh? Who was in charge of preparedness? Where do they go to get their free housing and meal tickets for a year or two?
Only about 8-10 inches so far here in North/Central WV at 1500’. Higher elevations got a lot more. Hope we don’t get much more, I’ve got a 70 mile round trip tomorrow to pick up some live lobsters for our Super Bowl dinner.
Year in and year out, the Great Plains states suffer extreme blizzards, and they take it in stride and dig themselves out. The railroad runs rotaries through ten and fifteen foot deep drifts. People prepare and go without power for weeks.
But just let it snow in DC and NYC, and it is monumental news.
Time for a new hybrid party ..
Tired of the crap in DC?
Shovel It!

Was there an anti-AGW protest in DC recently? Or did the Goracle show up?
This might be a bit off-topic, but suddenly I’m real glad that Scott Brown got sworn in on Thursday, just before the storm hit ... who knows how the Senate Dems might have tried to exploit this “weather crisis”.
Thanks again, Al Gore!
Still snowing, with 14” on the ground here, northeast of Harrisburg, PA.
Scared the dickens out of my 15 year old Dalmation when he walked out the door to “do his business”!
I just wanted to let y’all know that it’s 70 degrees and sunny here in south Texas.
