How are they gonna watch the Super Bowl?
cold winters beget more children - part of the ordained “plan” from the beginning -
Got room down there in the Lone Star State for a Jersey Yankee? I HATE THIS SNOW!!! frizzle frakin’’ blankety-blank white stuff!
Just don’t overdo it..
Thanks goodness we live at about 200 foot above sea level here.. but we get to see the local mountains get a dose of it every once and awhile.. I haven’t taken the poodles to the snow but El Nino ain’t done yet either, it seems.
Now think about the small dogs who need to go do their business in snow that's deeper than their height.
I’m afraid you speak the truth, the problem is that the increase in population is amongst the non productive segment of society, the illegals and the entitlement crowd. The productive segment is at work trying to support the other group.
Heads up to all global warming deniers.
I don’t know if GW is real, but this storm was caused by the Pacific Ocean being 2 degrees above normal last summer. This has caused a very strong El Nino, which has brought a lot of water across the Northern Hemisphere, causing floods in the West, and snow in the East. Could be global warming or could just be part of the typical El Nino/La Nina fluctuation. Here is a storm story link for the mid-Atlantic:
I can't believe people went to see obama in this snow storm. How stupid can they be? How many of them will be stuck in ditches later? even if they walked.
Year in and year out, the Great Plains states suffer extreme blizzards, and they take it in stride and dig themselves out. The railroad runs rotaries through ten and fifteen foot deep drifts. People prepare and go without power for weeks.
But just let it snow in DC and NYC, and it is monumental news.

I hear ya on that. It’s not stopping Obama either.
I grew up amidst some mighty good sized drifts in the 50s and 60s as well in Minnesota.
If Singing Cowboy puts on a parka, you know the weather is bad in NYC. ;-)
Yeah, Baltimore seems to be taking the brunt of it. Stay warm!
Yep...daughter in Leesburg lost power...some in the neighborhood have power so they will go there with the babies if it gets too cold ind their house...
Yep, I'm in northern MD and have a 5 foot drift stretching across the back of my house.
Thank you for your concern. We are shoveling in stages. We only shoveled the front walkway to the car. The next time we go out we will concentrate on the car and driveway.
We have 24” here. Round Hill,VA
concho, I am referring to stupid people here. you are missing my point, the population per square mile in the mid-atlantic far exceeds the midwest/great plains. this is record breaking storm for this area.
As a former mid-west native, I agree with your assesment, but the stats speak for themselves. Plus the other facts I mentioned in my response to you. In our residence, we are self-prepared and surrounded by military personnel who, along with me, are ready to assist our fellow neighbors if they have an emergency due to this epic storm. Storms like this occur once every ten years, except this storm is the worst storm in modern recorded history for this area of the country (since 1899).
Here in Northwestern NJ I got nothing...it started to snow at midnight and I woke up to nothing. My friend got 5 inches and she is a 45 minute drive away from me.
It’s funny you mention “non-essential.” I’ve been following every news story very closely to see if the term is being used. It appears that it has officially been expunged by the Government and the MSM is dutifully following. It is nowhere to be seen. Conclusion: All gov’t workers under Dear Reader are now Essential to the smooth functioning of society.
I guess they finally got tired of being the laughing-stock of the entire nation with their “non-essential” designation.
No problem. Physical exertion outside the norm can be rough on a person and ya oft won’t really feel it ‘til later.. and while snow blowers are handy, not every one has one..
