Every political community includes some members who insist that their side has all the answers and that their adversaries are idiots. But American liberals, to a degree far surpassing conservatives, appear committed to the proposition that their views are correct, self-evident, and based on fact and reason, while conservative positions are not just wrong but illegitimate, ideological and unworthy of serious consideration. Indeed, all the appeals to bipartisanship notwithstanding, President Obama and other leading liberal voices have joined in a chorus of intellectual condescension.

The bastions of liberalism are found in the cities and on college campuses. Those who devote themselves to higher education (particularly the social sciences) develop their own psuedo-intellectual superiority complex, and the urbane urban folks typically look down on people living in rural areas as unsophisticated and uncultured.
Libtards like to think they are on the cutting edge, and they have a desire to belong and not be ostracized by their peers, so they jump on the bandwagon to hell of ideas that ultimately prove to be unsatisfactory.
I should have added that it is the assumed superiority of adolescence (narcissism) from which the subject condescension stems.
Because they are so much SMARTER AND BETTER than everyone else! If you weren’t such a DUMB CONSERVATIVE TYPE, you’d KNOW that!!

They are a case of arrested development. Having arrived at an youth’s idealism ... they lock down on it, and allow no further development of their understanding.

Liberals also share with many conservatives the tendency to live in ideological bubble communities, reinforcing ideological conformity, thinking that "all normal people think like this." Leftists who live in places like Oklahoma don't have this problem, even though their ideology is still warped.

Take the economy and the failed stimulus bill. Obama claimed to have 100 economists that said it would work and now claim that EVERY economist say it was a success. Paul Krugman is STILL saying a huge national debt funding grossly expensive government ‘jobs’ is the true way of saving the economy. He is critical of Obama for running up too small of deficits and is a perfect example of this (Obama is especially arrogant).
This is the first opportunity the general public has had to to see what liberals are about in about a decade,

Because they are Progressives. People have to understand that under Socialism or Progressives, the only ones with the power are the ones at the top of the ladder. Everyone else just does their bidding for them and if they disagree with the top officials, they will be eleminated. Just look at Pelosi. Disagree with her and you are pushed out. She is a perfect example of a Progressive......other than Hillary.
Condescension is the tool liberals use to mask their inability to make logical arguments out of their beliefs.
Because they are lied to from birth. told that they are “special”, “unique”, and are smarter than ev everyone else, without any evidence, or a shred of fact supporting the assertions. They grow up being told they are entitled. No matter what their limitations, they are owed, by Life to be better than everybody that disagrees with them, or achieves where they have failed.
So, they think that their mediocre intelligence and meagre grasp of a skill set that they manage to learn the “code word speak” of, Entitles them to look down on everyone else, and tell them what to do, even though these same closed minded predjudiced, bigoted minded morons don’t even bother to curorily study any issue they chose to expound upon as an expert..case in point: Joy Behar and Whoopie Goldberg.
Idiot with a ego problem tend to be liberal and condescending note Obama and his friends.
They DO use “I feel” in order to avoid having to make any rational/logical arguments in which they’d have to come up with empirical support for their assumptions and conclusions.
I think Anne Coulter nailed it, when she pointed out that liberalism springs from a psychological foundation of having a godlike vision for solving all of society’s ills.
Answer: It has worked to date.

Just say 'New Jersey' to a group of New Yorkers, even ones who just moved there, and they spontaneously break out into great peals of laughter. Is there another city where its inhabitants hold their neighbors in such contempt? I hear cracks about L.A. suburbs on sitcoms that I guess are west coast surrogates for the Garden State. Still not funny.
