Of course. Most woman look at the bulge in a man's back pocket first. Then they'll move on to admire his other assets.

A California woman has launched a unique online search for a husband. Not for love, but for health care. At least she will still be a free American citizen. If Obama, Nancy and Harry have their way, she would only be an indentured American citizen until another government frees her.

They don't have to shake a tin cup for cash. If some people want to have security though, they just should be aware, that if someone else pays all the bills, they call the tune. I'm just sayin'.

Looks are deceiving. Ill bet shes crazier than a loon.
I was being semi-tongue-in-cheek. She's presenting herself like something on ebay motors (high miles, well-maintained but needs new warranty). Even if she's crazier than a loon, she could be somebody's "beard," a reasonable match for someone with a high tolerance for risk, or low self-confidence/esteem.
Even if I weren't already very happily married, I would not take a chance on anyone who would support a baby-killer like Obama. And I would suggest anyone else who was interested have a talk with her ex, and someone who was friends with both.

But under Obama”care”, that wouldn’t matter.
Further, some employer health plans have “open enrollment” where if a covered employee gets married, the new spouse can sign up for immediate covereage without penalty for pre-existing conditions, or a minimal waiting period.

Then how do you explain those of us who married our husbands while we were still in highschool or college. There was no bulge in my hubby’s wallet when we got married.

She has no problems. She can continue on her current plan by asking for the guaranteed conversion under HIPAA.
Barring that, she can start a business and get group coverage under the guaranteed acceptance rules in California.

You have no idea how uncomfortable it is to be a witness in a marriage you know is a sham. These are two people that can’t even stand each other. So much so that they live in separate homes.
Do I give hugs and congratulate them? It just didn’t seem appropriate under the circumstances. I felt so dirty afterwards!

Moreover, in the worst case, she can always obtain coverage through CA’s high-risk pool. http://www.naschip.org/states_pools.htm
Most states have such risk pools and they typically cap rates at 150% of the “standard” rate that would apply to someone of her age/gender. So it would be somewhat more expensive than average coverage, but then again, she would have more than average use etc. High risk pools are a good example of how the “pre-existing condition” problem can be addressed WITHOUT causing an upheaval throughout the rest of the insurance market. Which is exactly why Obama and Dems in Congress don’t like this “Republican” solution.

Well, that is perfectly in line with the NOW/Lib take that marriage is just legalized, contractual prostitution, allowing a male to rape a woman with her consent, rather than by force.

What a silly question.
This woman is a liar. If she is on COBRA, there is no “gap” and thus no pre-existing condition.
All she needs to do is get a job like the rest of us.
