On Monday’s CBS Early Show, co-host Harry Smith introduced a bizarre story designed to show how desperate the situation is for people lacking health insurance: “A California woman has launched a unique online search for a husband. Not for love, but for health care.”

I guess it’s easier than getting a job and having to work like the rest of us schmucks.
She voted for Obama to get nationalized health insurance so you and I can pay for her medical care.
She has one year left on COBRA. Surely she can get a job that has medical coverage in one year -— since she has COBRA, if she joins a plan now, she would not be considered “pre-existing under the law.”
I don’t care if this con artist had the body of Venus and the face of Helen of Troy; she can rot.
She’s a pretty woman and I believe the news said she already had offers. I could think of worse reasons to marry.

What if it was your sister?
The first question is "What is her medical problem?" If she has AIDS, I doubt that she'll get any takers.
She has a very annoying voice!
And yet, some have to get divorced for Health Insurance purposes....

I knew people who did this in the military. Get a housing allowance, medical care, and PX/ Commisary Priviledges. Yep, the good life.
My grandfather’s wife once told me that’s why she married my grandfather. She needed heart surgery and he had great insurance. Which is just what his 20 year old grand daughter wanted to hear.
Maybe she needs health insurance to pay for her gastric bypass, some serious dental work, and removal of a big mole on the tip of her nose.

So true. My hubby’s brother remarried his ex wife so he could get health insurance. And it was all HER idea.
Oh, yes and they’re both liberals. Big surprise.

Most women would do this.
So she’s willing to let herself get screwed regularly in exchange for guaranteed health insurance. It’s that what they’re telling the rest of us we should be willing to do?
