Iran Will Deliver Telling Blow To Global Powers On Feb. 11
Press TV ^ | 31 Jan 2010 | Unattributed

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added.

Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.

The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.

Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.

...and Obama agrees.

Yes better get your car gassed up.

I hope the Iranians will continue taking to the streets to make Ahmadinejad’s life holy hell. As mad as they are, I’m sure they will.

Israel was fired on by saddam if you recall. Iran knows they can do likewise...not necessarily with Nukes. I don’t think any of them dare to start that...but I don’t under estimate Iran retaliating if given reason to do so..If they attempt to take out their nuke sites I don’t think they’ll just sit still. That would fly in the face of the Arab mindset as worse than cowardly...they will do something and have stated as much.

Bingo!

If diplomatic efforts to defuse the situation fail, Israel may see no other choice than to launch a preventive strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Great find!

Clinton. Rahm Emanuel. The issue is whether the Israelis believe that the US will stop the Iranians from developing a nuclear weapon or not. Bush 43 failed to stop it despite saying that it would not be allowed. Now Obama is extending his open hand to the Iranian regime and failed to go after them during the recent riots and political turmoil resulting from the fixed elections.

There are still plenty of demonstrations and political unrest in Iran now. The regime is in trouble. Israel and probably Saudi Arabia are becoming more and more impatient with the failure to stop Iran's march towards a nuclear weapon. IMO Obama is being pressured by Israel, the Saudis, Kuwait, UAE, etc. to take some sort of action. Israel will not stand by indefinitely when its national sercurity is at stake.

The Iranian regime has been stirring the pot on it's nuclear facility because it diverts attention from its domestic problems and causes the populace to unify against an external threat.

Yelp! Was awakened last night with “the planes” flying over. First heard them right before the Gulf War, later before we entered Iraq and subsequently about a week or two before someone gets the holy shite bombed out of them.

Might want to store up on food supplies as gas for trucking will become a problem, interfering with food delivery if they take out ME oil wells.

” Obama met with Bush 41 to get his opinion on whatever may transpire in the region using Bush’s excellent contacts in the Gulf especially with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait and his experience during the Gulf War.”

Too bad the dems have to now admit and try to work with the ‘good contacts’of the Bushes.. after all those years of “BUSHES BAD, OIL BAD”, blah blah...they have done their best to ruin the future of this country.

Concur in suspecting this -- not in the certainty.

NO cheers, unfortunately.

If the UN doesn’t agree on any meaningful sanctions on Iran this month, it looks like Israel is going to strike.
