Highlights:
*The president in the speech declared that his administration has cut taxes for 95% of Americans. He even chided Republicans for not applauding on that point. However, just 21% of voters nationwide believe that taxes have been cut for 95% of Americans. Most (53%) say it has not happened, and 26% are not sure. Other polling shows that nearly half the nations voters expect their own taxes to go up during the Obama years.
*The president also asserted that after two years of recession, the economy is growing again. Just 35% of voters believe that statement is true, while 50% say it is false.
*Obama claimed that steps taken by his team are responsible for putting two million people to work who would otherwise be unemployed. Just 27% of voters say that statement is true. Fifty-one percent (51%) say it's false.
*On all the points raised in the presidents speech, there is a huge partisan divide. On the question of cutting taxes for 95% of Americans, hardly any Republicans or unaffiliated voters believe it's true. However, Democrats are evenly divided: 34% say the tax cuts have been delivered, 29% say they havent, and 38% are not sure.
*Sixty-three percent (63%) of Democrats agree with the presidents statement that the economy is growing again. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans and 60% of unaffiliated voters disagree.
*As for the claim about two million jobs, 46% of Democrats say its true, while 77% of Republicans say its not. As for those not affiliated with either major party, 24% say its true, and 59% say its false.
*Regarding another initiative detailed in the speech on Wednesday night, just nine percent (9%) of voters believe the presidents proposed freeze on discretionary spending will have a big impact on the deficit.

,,,,,naybe he figures he can con the pubs into going along with some of what he wants to boost his ratings and make the mid-term less painful by not losing control of both houses.
It could work. We’ve got some pretty stupid pubs in congress.
0bozo is a pathological lying POS SOB who has never done an honest day’s worth of work in his entire miserable life. I could care less about that, but the unbelieveable tragic thing is that this imposter son of a bitch is now our U.S Pres___ent and he WANTS to bankrupt & destroy the U.S. The time for American Revolution II is here & now. We have got to shackle & frog-march that lying socialist-fascist-commie pig usurper out of the WH (along with his entire corrupt administration & most of the demoRAT politicians in Washington DC including the RINO’s) and straight into federal prison or the gallows, for their high crimes & treason against the U.S.
Ready when you are!
“83% approve” is a little hard to believe. But what do we know, we’re just right wingers.
The point was I dont trust the elite fools that run our government. It is absolutely haywire and way more insane than anything I could possibly dream up.
I don't see how "No new taxes read my lips", or the invasion of Iraq is any less insane than what I said in jest.
If you think accusing an 85 year old man of snorting coke with the evil Marxist in the WH is funny, more power to you.
If you think breaking a campaign promise about taxes, or invading Iraq to keep America safe is the same thing as a Marxist's destroying the Republic by amassing power in the Gov't, appointing radicals, thieves and perverts to be his advisors and cabinet members, amassing debt greater than the previous 43 Presidents combined, stealing from the earners to give to the parasites, taking over car companies and banks, deriding the American people, trying to destroy our economy, scoffing at the Constitution, and assorted other communist goals, more power to you.
Far from being "offended," I just think you're not very well informed and pretty gullible, that's all....
