Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on an attempt by feminist lawyer Gloria Allred to get CBS to drop the pro-life Super Bowl ad featuring Tim Tebow and his mother:
Gloria Allred is no stranger to the subject of abortion, so it is not surprising that she wants to kill this pro-life ad. Her letter to Les Moonves of CBS, available at RadarOnline.com, wants the ad pulled because it is allegedly guilty of misleading advertising.
Allred, who has not seen the ad, charges that when Tebows mother was being advised by doctors in the Philippines to consider an abortion (she was on antibiotics for a pregnancy illness), it was illegal there to have one. In a monumental stretch, Allred reasons that the ad should disclose this information, otherwise it is misleading.
What is really misleading is Allreds duplicity. Several years ago, she represented Amber Frey in a case related to the death of Laci Peterson; Petersons husband, Scott, was convicted of murdering both her and the baby she was carrying, a boy they named Connor. In an interview she gave to Hannity and Colmes on the Fox News Channel on June 5, 2003, Allred found it useful to her case to emphasize the humanness of Petersons baby: And the fact that there are two individuals who are dead there, Laci and Connor, that has to be the most important consideration of everything. For once, she was right.
Allreds confession in 2003 undercuts her credibilityto say nothing of her ethical standingto make the case against this Super Bowl ad. She knows that Tim Tebow is alive today because his mother did not abort him. To top it off, she cant even deal respectfully with this issue. Her snide remark, which is in the letter to Moonves, is classic. As the story is reported, she says, Tims mother decides to take her pregnancy to term anyway and give birth to Tim. Apparently they have lived happily ever after since that time. And apparently, this woman has no shame.

But I guess she has no problem with the other rauncy, miosynistic ads they’re planning on running. Hypocisy is spelled A-L-L-R-E-D.
She seeks to kill - period.
It’s also spelled hypocrisy, but you get the point.
Hokay! “When this happened, the Philippines banned abortion — as we shall see, for a very good reason.”
She’s an ambulance chaser, what she says is the customer’s words. Show me the money..............
If you really think your "cause" is the better one you should want to have the public debate. (or are you really really scared by the truth?)
I don’t think that the Lord cares for her stance. Maybe He will do something to change her mind.
Obviously, G Allred killed her own child at some point in her life,
and now wants no reminders of her guilt. Yes, GUILT.
This is THE PRIME MOTIVATING FACTOR for pro-aborts. Justifying what they did.
The “pro-choice” people are stupidly exposing themselves as pro-baby killing. If they really favored “choice”, they would be cheering this commercial.
Personally, I think aboution is a medical matter between a woman and her doctor, but the “pro-choice” people really need to admit they are in favor of killing unborn children.
Please pray the Super Bowl ad goes through with Tim Tebow (depicted) and his mother regarding her "choice" to not abort her son. Gloria Allred's soul is both as red as the devil's and blacker than an ace of spades, but even she can be saved.Indeed, she is truly terrified, because God writes the Truth on our hearts.
She knows she’s headed for damnation for the unrepented sin of MURDER, and doesn’t want ANY reminders of that FACT.
She’ll go into the pits of hell screaming “IT WAS MY RIGHT TO ABORT THAT BABY!”
What an absolutely amazing image!Thank you!
"We hold these truths to be self-evident..."
I wish, just for once, that these abortionists and their enablers would just admit that the pro-life message is a positive one instead of viewing every live birth as a missed opportunity to further their abortion agenda.
FOF has already accomplished more than they could have hoped with this ad. Exposing the harpies currently freaking out for what they are, in a very public forum, has been quite valuable.
Everyone who CHOOSES not to abort pokes their consciences.
Just think of the completely diametrically opposed perspectives of these very same words. One is total self-giving love; the other total selfishness, pride and anger. The side of Truth is abundantly clear.
Yes, good point. Choice means “choosing abortion”. It does not mean promoting the availability and positivity of other choices.
