Harvard Law Schools answer to Huey Long unmasked himself during a joint session of Congress two days ago.
At the State of the Union address on Wednesday President Obama conducted himself like a chest-beating Latin American caudillo when he took the unprecented unusual step of dressing down the black robed Supreme Court justices seated in front of him.
Interrupted by obnoxious Democratic cheers, Americas first socialist president tried to intimidate the high court that had the nerve to defy him.
With all due deference to separation of powers last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests including foreign corporations to spend without limit in our elections, said Obama. I dont think American elections should be bankrolled by Americas most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people and Id urge Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps correct some of these problems.
Obama was fulminating against the Supreme Courts Jan. 21 decision in Citizens United v. FEC that struck down the McCain-Feingold laws prohibition on corporate political spending, determining it to constitute a particularly odious variety of censorship.
Of course Obama was completely wrong as Linda Greenhouse of the New York Times and law professor Bradley A. Smith, a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission, quickly noted. Smith said the presidents statement was blithering ignorance of the law or demagoguery of the worst kind.

Not only did Obama insult the judges, the large body of Democrats stood immediately behind and beside the judges and wildly applauded. It was a humilating sight to see the judges in this position of insult and cheering uproar.
UNBELIEVABLE!
Actually, I think he very much is interchangeable with Salvador Allende.
If you look at how he “lead” his country once he took power there are MANY parallels.
Its almost a Blue Print for 0bama’s America.
Huey Long had accomplishments.
Don’t insult Huey Long.
Because the reality is, that within their hearts, Democrats, Liberals, lust after absolute domination. The hate liberty, they hate indepenence of the court, they hate anything that stnds beteen them and absolute totalitarian dictatorial rule. No one - no one - knows better than Democrats what is good for anybody.
In my opinion, this was the glimmering peek of evil that currently lies cloaked within the heart of liberalism.
Barack Obama is Trelayne, the Squire of Gothos. “But I don’t wanna come in and I won’t I’m a General and I won’t listen to ya’”.
Scratch a liberal and under his thin skin is a socialist. Dig a little deeper and you will soon find the COMMUNIST nuclear fuel rod that drives everything he says and does. Or... It is like a one way train. Each socialist program is merely a station stop. The final destination is and always has been: COMMUNISM! By the way....It just drives me NUTZ when talk show host refer to these people as "liberals" or "leftists". It makes them sound and warm and fuzzy as a Norwegian.
Not nearly that efficient.
heh heh!
So is Obama due to die in a hail of gunfire at the White House?
He’s not that clever.
"On October 12, 2008, Candidate Obama, while walking through a neighborhood in the suburbs of Cleveland told Joe "The Plumber" Wurzelbacher, "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

No one captures the American imagination quite like the Kingfish. Ken Burns' film traces Huey Long's spectacular career from the 1920s, bursting out of Louisiana under the banner "Every man a king." Archival footage depicts the charismatic builder of roads, bridges, and schools, whose brutal corruption ended in a hail of bullets. Interviews tell the stories of the people swept up in Long's whirlwind, who still feel his impact on their lives. More >
