WICHITA Abortion rights-advocates today called for federal authorities to step up their investigation into a possible conspiracy of anti-abortion violence, citing Scott Roeders murder trial as a key reason.
The Department of Justice needs to vigorously pursue not only a further investigation of Scott Roeder but of his connections to the extremist network that may have been involved in the furthering of this murder, said Kathy Spillar, executive vice president of the Feminist Majority Foundation.
Many of this extremist network with whom Scott Roeder clearly has been involved are here in the courtroom. We can only hope that the network will be dismantled, and until its dismantled, were waiting for the next murder.
Spillar was referring to several anti-abortion militants and supporters of Roeder who are attending his trial. Roeder, 51, of Kansas City, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller, who was shot May 31 while ushering in his church. Roeder also faces two counts of aggravated assault for allegedly threatening two other ushers who chased him as he fled.
Roeder has admitted to reporters and in a court filing that he killed Tiller, saying it was necessary to save unborn babies, but he has pled not guilty.

We are not coming to condone or condemn Scott Roeders actions ...
That decision will soon rest with the jury. However, there are those who want to pretend this trial has nothing to do with child-killing by abortion; that is a farce. Its like saying that the trials of Nat Turner and John Brown had nothing to do with slavery ... --Randall Terry, from the article.
The American people are starting to see through the double-speak leftist BS put out by the “Pro-Choice” crowd....
There was a homicide clearly and this guy admits he was the one who killed Tiller. I believe that the question of whether there was a “murder” is a matter to be decided by the courts. Now, these pro-abort folks would like to get maximum use of this homicide in the furtherance of their cause by “broad-stroking” not only all who oppose the practice, but also by using the word “murder” which has yet to be adjudicated.
From the article. “It was wrong, because by killing Tiller, Roeder left the path of life and lowered himself to their level. And by lowering himself to their level, Roeder became the enemy.”
I disagree with that statement. Tiller was as much a murderer as any nazi or communist. Was it wrong to fight and kill nazis or communists? Are all of our combat veterans “the enemy”?
Did you know that hundreds of thousands of Americans came out to the March for Life in Washington, D.C., last Friday? They were peaceful, and the march received almost no attention whatsoever from our ignorant media (it never does), except for EWTN, although these types of protests are effective methods in eliminating abortion, because word still does get out via the Web and otherwise, helping to educate abortion-bound women and pro-abort politicians.

Maybe God used Roeder.
Yes, I do recall that killing, but don’t remember whether an arrest was made? Roeder is presenting a defense against the murder charge, but apparently willing to concede to manslaughter. Some have argued that he shouldn’t have even been allowed by the court to do that. Years back, when the guy shot the abortionist on his way into the actual “clinic”, he wanted to present a defense of having acted in defense of human life which the “doctor” was on his way to kill. The court wouldn’t allow that defense. I don’t know whether that defense would have worked for him, but he should have been allowed to make it in my opinion.
The reason you don't remember if there was an arrest in the Jim Pouillon killing or not, is probably because the whole story was handled as a non-story. Very sad. And I *do* recall the case you are speaking of. “It’s a good story.”
Sounds like it.
I see no one wishes to answer my question in post 6. Are soldiers and policemen condemned by the “all life is valuable” crowd when they kill someone who needs killing?
“However, would Christ want Roeder to live in jail for his crime, then?”
Probably. Render unto Ceasar, etc. Paul in Romans 13 splains it some more.
Soldiers and policemen are acting in self-defense or to protect people from harm, but, of course, abortion is legal in the United States, so the deadly harm towards the infant is trumped by the mother's desire to end its life. Here's a quote from Fr. Euteneuer (bear in mind that Fr. is one of only 12 official Catholic Church exorcists in America; he well knows evil):
