A Bellville, Texas man went on a killing spree and murdered 5 family members this past weekend. His fury was so intense that he decapitated his 2-year-old niece with a machete.

A family member told police she believed that anger and Thomas’ conversion to the Muslim religion influenced his actions. Chron.com reported:
A family dispute pushed Maron Thomas to go on a rampage marked by a fury so intense that he decapitated his 2-year-old niece with a machete after killing her and four other family members, Austin County investigators said Wednesday.
Thomas, 20, was charged Wednesday with capital murder in the shooting deaths of his mother, stepfather, sister, brother and his niece. He remains in the Austin County Jail with bail set at $1 million.
“This is one of the most horrific crimes we’ve had in Austin County,” District Attorney Travis Koehn said. “Austin County is a safe place to live, but unfortunately, we are not immune to the same kinds of crimes that occur in other locations.”
The massacre happened between midnight Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday at the family’s home 7 miles outside the Bellville city limits, on FM 1456 between Buckhorn and Cochran.
Thomas then allegedly burglarized a car and was arrested around 3 a.m. after being caught trying to break into a house a mile and a half away while he was naked, investigators said. A neighbor held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived and arrested him on burglary charges. When deputies arrived, he had put on a pair of exercise shorts…
Thomas’ sister, Ka’Tara Price, 24, of Houston, said she believes anger and Thomas’ conversion to the Muslim religion influenced his actions. She said she is not aware of him suffering from any mental illness.
“Of course, a big part of the conditioning process is the leftist control of government, which has resulted in the government policy of “mainstreaming” even the patently crazy and unstable members of our society.”
This is OH SO TRUE! Your comment reminds me of the push in the ‘50’s, and ‘60’s by the Leftists to rid the States of the rehabilitive institutions for the mentally impaired (a little PC speakey there). They used similar scare tactics as they did in the ‘80’s with child care centers, and won the demise of such institutions. Then the “inmates” of those asylums ended up on the streets, in the forests, and underground as “homeless”. Didn’t the Left have a good time with that?
The Berg video showed that. Berg was fiendishly beheaded by zealous adherents of Islam, and what famed modern leaders of modern Islam speak against such fiendish murdering hatreds and ethos! They should do so at EVERY chance, until Islam is no longer properly considered a synonym for a sect of murder, hate, envy and jealousy for everything and anyone advanced beyond the stone-age.

I’ll continue to offer my opinions, notice I said opinions and not ‘informed conclusions, as I please without fear that I am lowering anyone’s vigilance or the fear that I will be seen as apologizing for the faith whose adherents, I have already said, have committed more murder than I can even comprehend.
I think you are equally ‘guilty’ of forming your own ‘conclusions’ on information you don’t have. The Hasan case was easier because we were given, in a trickle, information about his thoughts, statements etc.
This case is different. From my perspective - this case sounds similar to family-melt-down murders I have heard of over the years and the Hasan case sounds like Jihadi syndrome - I call ‘em as I see em.

Stunning numbers, along with the usual psychobabble chasing government contracts. They call it "mental illness." I call it hopelessness: ruined families, no prospect of prosperity, outrageous expectations, and no sense of real accomplishment. Public education, whether schools or popular media culture, IMO are at root. Cultural Marxism takes its toll.
Better to be silent than to give excuses to murderers, and to a murdering sect. Let Islam be shamed by such as this — it is a sect that has more than enough need for rebuke in this regard.

We can pin his converting to Islam to being a mental case, though.
Perhaps drugs were involved? I don’t think even a radical Muslim or functional mental case would behead his 2 yr old niece, unless he didn’t perceive her as kin. Also an observant Muslim wouldn’t runaround naked. Not that he wasn’t a Muslim and a nutcase, but I suspect that he was in a chemically altered state as well.

I need not be silent as I make no excuses for murders and hope that this monster receives the punishment he deserves but, I know of no punishment sufficient for the crime of decapitating a 2 year old.
I am not part of the PC crowd, I never defended Hassan and I don’t understand those who do.
If information comes out that changes my perception of this murder (from family hatred to jihadi)I will not hesitate to say it.
Watch dogs work best when they differentiate within a class of threat (a stranger in the back yard versus the gardner in the back yard) instead of baring at an entire class of threat (someone in the back yard).

Reading the Koran and becoming a Muslim are two completely different things. This guy may well have mental issues but I’ll bet you a Buffalo Nickel that the particular Muslim sect he was attending was in at least some sense radical. Are you not taking the beheading into account in your supposition the Muslim teaching had nothing to do with it?

I'm not but you sorta sound like one. But perhaps you have been skimming this thread. I made it very clear, over and over I think the Koran and Sharia abominations. I provided two links to this article which explains why they are.
I never said homeschoolers and Christians have a propensity to run amok. I said when there is a case, the left jumps on it and claims faith and choice in schooling is the reason for their crime. That is indisputable. We see people do this with Jews too. A Christian or Jew does something wrong and there are those who immediately claim that crime is an insight into their faith. Jihadists don't usually target their own family for extinction. That is one reason I suspect this guy was just off and his conversion a symptom of his being a mental case. Yes, Islam might have inflamed his insanity more, but I do not believe it precipatated it.
Certainly would've been preferable. All he'd have to say is that the suspect advanced on him in spite of the weapon, but there's always a chance of one or more witnesses somewhere. In fact, I'd guess that the yard was probably full of witnesses by that time.
But another reason would be that this man could be judged incompetent to stand trial, thus keeping him around and even eventually freeing him when the powers that be judge him mentally fit for life as a free man.
I will hope for the best: That he has a date with destiny in the form of a needle in Huntsville.
Good point, apostrophes and all; however, I believe mother kill’n, father rape’n, slash’n throats and decapitation are in the Quran and is practiced on a daily basis!
