My sister-in-law who lives in Illinois called it to my attention today that the Illinois Primary is coming up in NINE DAYS (February 2, 2010)!!! No wonder I have been hearing radio ads on KMOX, etc....I just thought that all States had their primaries in AUGUST....
See http://www.uselections.com/il/il.htm
Yes, I know many of you live in Missouri and OUR Primary isn't until August, 2010. However, we need to help our Illinois brothers and sisters elect STRONG Conservatives to office and THE PRIMARY is the means to do so. We put Scott Brown over the finish line....Why can't we do the same in Illinois ???
I invite you to go to this link and see who is running in the Illinois Primary....There are MAJOR offices like Governor, Senator, and Congressman that are under consideration....Here's a chance to pick up Roland Burris' seat (He has Obama's old seat and is "retiring"...wonder if the Daley thugs made him an offer he couldn't refuse). We need to find out who the best conservative Republicans are and see to it that these particular candidates wins their primaries....
At the very least, spread the word to your family and friends who live in Illinois !
Kirk is the republican front runner.
That's not an improvement over Burris.
Work hard, vote for Hughes.
Kirk votes with the libs, cap/tax, abortion, etc. We don’t need him!!
Otherwise, pro-abortion, pro-cap and trade ultra-liberal RINO Mark Kirk will be the GOP candidate in ONE WEEK.
Donate Now and do whatever you can to help elect conservatives.
Patrick Hughes opposes Cap and Trade It will be the largest tax increase in American History - and the largest transfer of power to the federal government since the New Deal. Mark Kirk was one of 8 Republicans who voted for it.
Patrick Hughes does not support the expansion of government or increased regulation Mark Kirks vote for Cap and Trade legislation supports an increase of government regulation in the lives of American families. His near decisive vote on the Cap and Trade bill also helped Democrats gain the legislative cover needed to pass the health care bill which, if put into law, would be a massive expansion of the federal government.
Patrick Hughes supports Americas progress towards energy independence Mark Kirk opposes using Americas resources to gain energy independence. He voted for prohibiting oil drilling and development in ANWR.
Patrick Hughes believes in Peace through Strength; a strong national defense Mark Kirk says he does too, but when the political going got tough, he was one of a handful of Republicans who voted against the surge, which was one of the single biggest turning points in the Iraq War.
Patrick Hughes supports the 2nd Amendment and the individual right to bear arms Mark Kirk gets an F rating from the NRA and an F- from Gun Owners of America. He does, however, get very high marks from groups advocating more gun control and bans.
Patrick Hughes is pro-life. He has always stood up for the rights of the unborn Mark Kirk is adamantly pro-abortion. He even voted against the ban on the hideous practice of partial-birth abortion He gets a 100% rating from both Planned Parenthood and NARAL. He is in the top tier of pro-abortion Republicans in Congress.
Patrick Hughes believes in a traditional definition of marriage Mark Kirk voted against an amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman.
Patrick Hughes believes hate crime laws are divisive and unconstitutional Mark Kirk joined left wing Democrats in sponsoring hate crime legislation.
>>Work hard, vote for Hughes.<<

“vote for Hughes for US Senator.

Bump
FYI
Cheers!
All well and good, but the people of IL lack the ability to learn all of this in seven days. All they know to do is mark familiar names on the ballot.
The democrats saddled us with an early primary in 2008 so that Illinois could be influencial in the choosing of the presidential cadidate in that year. Unfortunately this leaves us stuck with very little time or chance to sort things out in the primary and we will likely be stuck with a less than optimum candidate for the Burris seat. If that were to occur, it would still be to our benifit to vote against the dem candidate in the general election. Judging from the healthcare situation (Snowe and the other squishies), it appears that there is a slight chance that we can hold a RINO`s feet to the fire, while there would be no chance to hold another Durbin`feet to any fire.
