Hammering Honduras--The State Department keeps slapping an ally
The Wall Street Journal ^ | January 25, 2010 | Editorial

Honduras will inaugurate president-elect Porfirio Lobo this week, two months after one of the world's most recently famous little countries held a successful democratic election. So we are left to wonder why the United States State Department is still trying to hammer anyone there who dared to participate last summer in the constitutional removal of President Manuel Zelaya from office.

The U.S. has formally recognized the November presidential election, and the State Department tells us it also recognizes the congress's second vote to remove Mr. Zelaya. So what's the problem?

It appears that State's pettiness still flows from the refusal of interim president Roberto Micheletti and his cabinet, from June to December, to cave to the U.S. demand that they reinstate Mr. Zelaya. In earlier acts of pique, State stripped the U.S. visas of Mr. Micheletti, his advisers and cabinet officials and even the entire Honduran Supreme Court. Last week it yanked more visas from members of the interim government.

Bambi, Hugo and their Marxist minions don’t like opposition. Especially when it’s successful.

"The State Department has never explained its harsh treatment of Honduras, a democratic ally."

Nor will they ever. The truth is, they only backed away from supporting Zelaya after we exposed their true intentions. Had it not been for DeMint and a few Congressmen and a drum beat from US they would never have relented.

Fact> Obozo never saw a Commie he did not like, or a free people that he did not want to subject. He is a Natural Born Commie, born & bred.

Considering how foreign policy was one of the factors in the Scott Brown victory (ie. opposing the treatment of terrorists as common criminals instead of enemy combatants), it could be a good move for GOP candidates to focus on the Honduras issue. It would be so easy for the GOP to paint the ‘Rats as appeasers of enemies like Chavez and betrayers of democratic allies like the Hondurans ... Michael Steele: are you paying attention?

Yep, Zer0 was infuriated because he was shown up by a small country in our hemisphere and won’t admit he made a mistake, of course deep down he probably doesn’t think he made a mistake.

Yes he wants to slap down that government.. He is using the whole weight of the US government to bully this small country.. Somehow I feel that should be punishable by law.

Obama is a Commie dictator lover. He recognizes people like himself.

And the Secretary of State, Hildabeast, is also a long-time Commie dictator lover.

And there have always been plenty of people in the State Department who are also Commie dictators lovers. They have to be kept on very short leashes, and obviously Barry and Hildabeast have no interest in doing that.

DeMint asked the state department to release their legal opinion on which they based the Honduras policy. They refused (written by Harold Koh the trans-nationalist.)

The Obama administration bullying, is embarrassing. I hope this gets more attention, It will whittle his poll numbers down even lower.

Yes, without a doubt he is a Commie. And most of the staff he brought with him are also.

When this is over, it will take some time and a concerted effort to remove all of them from positions of authority. But it must be done.

Honduras needs to take back some of the tens of thousands of illegal alien criminals they’ve imported here.

Jan 26, 2010 5:33 AM PST
RaleiGH, NC (WECT) - An illegal alien from Honduras pleaded guilty Monday to pulling a knife and demanding money of a convenience store clerk in Wallace.

Humberto Diaz, entered a guilty plea to a charge of committing a Hobbs Act robbery and aiding and abetting the use of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

Prosecutors say Diaz and Ever Jose Contreras went into the Your Convenience Store #3 in Wallace in November 2008 and robbed the clerk. A week later, prosecutors say Diaz, Contreras, Jose Leonel Matute and Daniel Edgardo Rodriguez went into a Your Convenience Store in Burgaw and robbed a clerk and customer. During that situation, Diaz pulled a gun and fired it. He did not hit anyone.
