Sarah Palin, Enigma (Supporters having serious doubts, McCain endorsement, Kittens have NO doubt)
The New American ^ | 25 January 2010 | Bob Adelmann

Posted on 01/25/2010 9:45:18 AM PST by FrankRep

When Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin announced her support for three prominent Republicans, her Facebook statement entitled “Ride the Tide with Commonsense Candidates” resounded with laudibles such as supporting those who offer “commonsense government,” and those “who promise to fight FOR the people and AGAINST politics as usual.” by Bob Adelmann

Hey, as long as it’s not baby seals in the senate.

I’d hate to see somebody club a Senator by accident.

Have people attributed policies and positions to Sarah that she does not necessarily hold? During the campaign, when asked, she said that drilling in Alaska was the only issue upon which she and McCain disagreed. Did anyone ever pin her down more precisely on that? Maybe McCain’s reform message is the one she identifies with or they have more in common than we want to admit. Either way, she didn’t really have much choice but to support him when asked.

The best one (or worst one) whatever...
I used to post the DOSE (The Day in the Life of President Bush) but we called it the DOSE for short.

So the title has to be typed in:

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT BUSH (IN PHOTOS)

I typed:

A SAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT BUSH

LOL.

Several thought they could have a “say” -—LOL.

You are being too hard on her. She probably sees McCain as the elder statesman of the party worthy of her support and respect if for no other reason than his service to our country.

“This is irresponsible back-scratching that some might describe as corruption, in the sense that she is recommending the person who she must know is not the best person for the job out of an agenda that does not put the interests of the nation first.”

Right. And that would be politics as usual. Unfortunately, JD Hayworth has a bit of politics as usual too. It is in his and his wife’s past, and we can hope that he’s reflected and changed.

I’ve made no clear conclusions about JD, but he does seem to have a few past conflicts of interest on his TEAM PAC side where his wife made something like $102K of the $538K the PAC took in over 5 years, and some issues related to blocking taxation of Indian tribes connected to Abramoff (see the second link):

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2435210/posts?page=589#589

I’ve made no conclusions about all this, but it’s good to know some of what they opposition will bring up with JD. I sure that anyone running for office with any record or public life at all has some conflicts of interest.

And let’s not get started on the typical RAT. The only reason I bring up these past issues with JD is that we Conservatives really do have higher standards than RATS...

If that’s what she sees in John McCain, then she’s impervious to his record, his associations and reality. And that’s a big problem.

No, loyalty can be blind. Which loyalty takes precedence? To the nation or to a failed politician who’s ideas are only slightly less destructive of the country than Obama’s?

How many of these Sarah Palin bashers blindly accept and excuse anything said or done by Ron Paul or Gary Johnson?

Beck led her to George Washington, you allow the other detractors to portray Gov. Palin as so stupid, she couldn't name a Founding Father, when in fact, it was as far from that as it is possible to get.

I don't think she is stupid, but she should have had an answer, she went to the trouble to google the Statue of Liberty, why would she not think he would ask about the founding fathers, that is what Glenn is about.

She muffed the question period. Nevertheless I would vote for her in a heartbeat. I don't base character on muffed questions.

Two things...

Palin had an answer about a specific founding father.

Glenn "All About the Founding Fathers" Beck wasn't the one who brought up the subject of the founding fathers, it was Sarah Palin in her previous answer. Check the transcript.
