Wish Palin would tell InSain she wants to work w/the other side of the aisle and support JD. You know if John’s elected he’s going to go right back to stabbing us in the back.

Oh yeah, I wish you would fire her, and her clone Collins, and get a good pair of Senators. If it were in my power to make that happen I would.

I think there is a very good chance that OS will ride to the rescue and save the Democrats and Obamacare despite what happened Tuesday.

Right now OS is on the side of the angels but you just know that in her heart she really wants to side with the Dems on this.

Not bad today but expecting snow on Wednesday and again next Sunday. But today, it’s not bad. You get prettier trees in the fall but you pay for it in winter. LOL

There is no way a Dem is going to win AZ this year. McCain is part of the problem w/DC. JD is very popular in AZ thanks to his radio program and is a Tea Party supporter, no way he loses in Nov.

From the article you linked: “I don’t think it’s unexpected,” said D.C. Councilman Michael Brown, I-at large. “The economy is getting better, but jobs are still lagging behind. The most concerning part is that in the eastern part of the city the numbers are closer to 30 percent.”

@@@@@

This can only mean that a lot of people are collecting UI checks far longer than ever before in the history of UI Compensation laws.

I just cannot imagine what jobs these people had that were lost. What industries shut down in DC? The city is teeming with people - many who do not speak English as their preferred language.

I hate to tell you this, but I think Maine is doomed.

If all the other 49 states were to go Red, Maine would be the remaining Blue state.

Using state politics as a yardstick, and as shown by recent elections and ballot initiatives, the people seem to prefer high taxes and RATs.

Even if the state were to go bankrupt...they would blame the few Republicans and keep the RATs in power.

My friend has a neighbor who tried to get in on the Obama plan to help with foreclosures. Husband had lost a lucrative job. They had missed several payments and the bank wanted all the missed payments or none...so they tried the Obama deal. They owe too much money in their debt to income ratio and can’t get the help.

Who the heck is it suppose to help but for the people who are about to lose their house.

What a messed up situation.

We have seen what happens when you send “Conservative” Democrats to DC. They become reliably Leftist votes.

Well stated point

Yes, she has a long history in both property development and City Hall positions.

This whole article is worth reading and remembering:

Valerie Jarrett: The Next Van Jones By: Ben Johnson

FrontPageMagazine.com | Monday, September 14, 2009

To call Jarrett a presidential adviser, even a close adviser, is misleading. She is an alter ego, an inner conscience, a touchstone of clarity for both President Obama and first lady Michelle. In the frenzy of the presidency, she reminds both Obamas of their identity and deepest-held beliefs. In exchange, the president makes no decision without her and has said she can “speak for me.” Unfortunately, she is also a racially polarizing elitist. She obtained her first foothold in Chicago politics through the patronage of a former SDS radical who regrets “nothing” about her role in the Days of Rage and ventured in 2003 that she “would probably reject violence as a useful form of revolution.” The same radical tried to persuade Rod Blagojevich to name Jarrett to Obama’s empty senate seat. Instead, Jarrett has served as a conduit of far-leftists into the administration.

“We Have Kind of a Mind Meld”

One thing is beyond question: Jarrett’s unprecedented sway over the president. An Obama 2008 campaign official told the New York Times, “If you want him to do something, there are two people he’s not going to say no to: Valerie Jarrett and Michelle Obama.” Susan Sher, who helped Jarrett recruit Michelle Obama to the Chicago mayor’s office before Michelle married the president, said, “I don’t think either of them [the Obamas] made major decisions without talking to her,” adding that Jarrett failed to appreciate “how incredibly instrumental she’ll be in virtually everything” in the White House.

The president confirms Jarrett’s tremendous cache with him, personally and politically. In July, Obama told New York Times reporter Robert Draper, “I trust her completely…She is family.” Obama trusts Jarrett “to speak for me, particularly when we’re dealing with delicate issues.” When asked, he admitted he runs every decision by her.

Gibbs, zero, Pelosi, Reid, et al, still believe they can pick poop up at the clean end, without getting their hands dirty.

A couple of those Rhinos voted out of fear of us. Throw all the bums out. This is not a normal election and if we are fearing Nov. we may as well give up now. McCain has to go and JD will win in Nov.

Palin made a terrible mistake.

you pay for it in winter

I've got some waist-deep snow in the backyard.

The trees are dense here (about one per square yard) and they look great all weighed down with the snow...then you look down and remember it's time to get to work...moving the snow.

Tomorrow, despite the cold overnights, we are expecting torrential rain and warm temp maybe in the 40s...soggy snow, collapsing roofs, flooding. What a mess.

Yeah I know the feelings. Minnesota would be the 49th state to go red in your senario.

During the height of the 2007 gas price hikes, MN Democrats rammed thru a gas tax hike despite the Repb Govs veto. Everyone was pissed about it. Then in Nov 2008 they went right to the polls and reelected every one of the tax hikers and fired some of the tax payer defenders.

Apparently voters in Mn are too stupid to realize just who the real paycheck rapists party is.
