Liberals gin up their engines for kamikaze missions

By: Chris Stirewalt

Pundits on the Left are suggesting that the reason Massachusetts voters rejected Martha Coakley -- aside from her personal failings as a candidate - is that Democrats in Washington failed to pursue a sufficiently liberal agenda.

As Sen. John Kerry and the other leaders of the Massachusetts Democratic Party were still standing on stage, jaws slack and eyes vacant, commentators Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow on MSNBC said that the vote was proof that President Obama and his team had to act urgently to jam his health care bill through Congress by any parliamentary means necessary. Maddow, astonishingly, said it had to be done in 30 days.

Over at the Boston Globe, which was the only organization to have a worse showing in the election than the Coakley campaign, editorial writers pretended that Republican Scott Brown's election had been a certainty for some time. If they thought so, they certainly hadn't shared it with their readers.

If you relied only on the Globe for your news, the last poll you read about before Election Day was the one from Jan. 6 from the paper and the University of New Hampshire that showed Coakley winning in a 17-point walk over Republican Scott Brown.

The Globe editorial, having dismissed Brown's win as an event as common as the start of the maple syrup harvest, then picked up the argument that now was the moment for a kamikaze mission to pass the Democrats' health plan.

"Both houses of Congress have already passed credible reform bills. At this point, President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should bring the legislative process to a close by pushing House members to pass the Senate version," counseled the Globe.

Hopefully, after their attempt of Kamikaze attack, they will all jump from the Banzai Ciff.:-)

I think Nancy and Barney would like to go Kamikaze.

The Kamikazes failed in 1944-45 and these liberal kamikazes will fail as well.

Yes, yes, I agree. Their only hope now is to push even harder to the left.

I learned something new today - the Nazis actually had Kamikazes. There was a Luftwaffengruppe dedicated to hitting US bombers right at the end of the war.

I never knew that.

I believe that Nancy's Kamikaze streak would work really to our advantage. Nancy and some upper echelon Dems still act like 60’s street rioters. Let's make sure it will do them in. That would be a poetic justice.

One can hope. “Let all the p-p-p-poisons that l-l-l-l-lurk in the mud, hatch out.”

"The Kamikazes failed in 1944-45 and these liberal kamikazes will fail as well. "

A "Liberal Kamikaze" is an oxymoron...liberals are - by their very nature - cowards. Unless they are backed by superior numbers, or the power of the courts, or EEO, they are cowards.

"Kamikaze" threats from consientious objectors is about as threatening as a nerf ball between the eyes.

Like their Pied Piper, obama, they'll beat their chest and give us their very, scariest, scowl, but in the end they'll slink into that goodnight bellowing threats they have no intention of carrying out.

The worst danger is them whipping up a frenzy in one of their "off balance" constituents and they'll try something dumb.

Remember, if the liberals can't cheat, they can't win. That's how we got Al Franken, and even obama for that matter. We need to be ever vigilent at the polling and counting places. The devil is in the details, and the absentee ballots.

Like the Japanese found out, they'll run out of planes before we run out of ships...so it makes it all a moot point.

Metaphor- noun 1. a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance, as in “A mighty fortress is our God.”

This is symbolic of the present day Zero Obama Kamikaze depicting his approval rating!

Note the USS TEA PARTY in the background.

"Democrats in Washington failed to pursue a sufficiently liberal agenda."

What?!

They've bankrupted the country.

How much more liberal can you get?

I’m in complete agreement. The reason why health care is so unpopular is because it has too many compromises for insurance companies.

I support her 100 percent in her full steam ahead progressive charge.

Oxymoron noun: conjoining contradictory terms (as in `deafening silence' or 'liberal Kamakaze')

The point was that a liberal cannot be a Kamakaze because ofr their inherent cowardice...contradictory terms, which is an Oxymoron.

A metaphor would be something like, " A liberal kamikaze is liberals having nerf ball fight".
