Sens. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., and Mary Landrieu, D-La., on Thursday signed on as co-sponsors to a new resolution offered by Murkowski that would effectively veto the Environmental Protection Agency's formal declaration last year that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases endanger the public health and welfare.
With that formal endangerment declaration, the agency is prepared to move forward with new limits on emissions from vehicles in March. EPA lawyers and environmental law experts say the tailpipe limits would automatically lead to requirements that new or modified power plants, refiners and other industrial facilities emitting carbon dioxide employ the best available technology to control how much they release.
Murkowski's measure would take advantage of a rarely used federal statute, known as the Congressional Review Act, designed to empower Congress to speedily veto federal regulations.

Is the Revolution moving forward or what?
Woohoo!
” Sens. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., and Mary Landrieu, D-La., “
Hmmmm... The ‘Votes-for-Sale’ crowd senses profit here....
What a coincidence: all three democrats mentioned are up for re-election come November.
What?
Dems on the ‘right’ side of an issue?
How is this going to impact Kerry-Graham?
[Wow, did the alternate universe open up Tuesday night?]
I suppose we could call them Ferengi-senators. :-)
When libs say "carbon", are they really talking about carbon dioxide? (there's really a big difference).
Stand up to the feds NOW...you may never get this opportunity again....
“Hmmmm... The Votes-for-Sale crowd senses profit here....”
More like they are toast come the next election and they are trying to redeem themselves in the eyes of their constituents.
all the usual phony blue dog suspects....
We won’t be fooled again.
Actually Nelson is not up until 2012. The common thread is that all 3 are on the endangered species list.
Yes. Any activity that moves carbon from a solid "bound up" location (e.g., in plants and minerals) to a gaseous form (ESPECIALLY CO2) is the "carbon" they are talking about.
A lump of coal is okay, but burning it is not okay.
Big three running for cover-—hope the sheeple see thru this. That aside, Murkowski’s legislation is a good start.
Zewoe's Czars & Co. have attacked coal and its possible expansion in use.
Cheaper energy = cheape manufacturing costs & reduced COL.....that's not happening at this time and that is a key to starting economic recovery...Oh, did I also mention reducing the size of goobermint, reduced corporate taxes, and holding individual taxes steady?
federal drilling = federal land exploratory drilling bans.
Nelson and the Lousianna Purchase might not survive the backlash if they push the climate change bs.
They and their states are in enough trouble with their back door illegal bs re the $ociali$t health care takeover.
Boxer is so dumb she doesn’t know the difference between hot and cold and carbon dioxide and oxygen.
The EPA is more fascistic than the ATF. The extra constitutional powers it has been granted by all three branches of government make it one of the greatest threats to our freedom.
There are no property rights that the EPA recognizes, and the rule of law is completely out the window with EPA rulings.
These hacks can just tell which way the wind blows. Can't be trusted, we should post their records as much as possible.
