This picture tells us the Reagan Era isn't over - and will never be.

You are dreaming.

Times have changed.

The times may change but conservatism is timeless.

GSGOP, some folks still don’t understand that Reagan wasn’t doing much more than voicing support for our founding principles.

Even if this nation were to wither and blow away, the soundness of our “Founding Principles” will never die.

Thus Reaganism can truly never die.

You are absolutely “right” here, and..., you’re also absolutely right.

I agree with you on one thing. Contrary to what Newt and a few others have said in the recent past, the era of Reagan isn't over. Far from it.

However, there are so many problems with that picture, I don't know where to start. Well, actually I do know where to start. Scott Brown is no Ronald Reagan. Period.

You do a major injustice to the Reagan record and his conservative legacy by attempting to link a northeast pro-abort, big govt statist liberal like Brown, with a traditional mainstream pro-life, limited govt conservative like Reagan.

And just for the record, Reagan wasn't perfect, but this is downright dumb. When Brown says, abortion is a Constitutional right, and RomneyCare is good, but ObamaCare is bad, my liberal alarm goes off and so should yours.

Brown ran on small government, tax cuts and a strong national defense - all Reagan themes. He didn't hide the conservative message. He embraced it proudly just like Reagan did. Conservatism - that's what wins elections.

>>>>>Brown ran on small government...

How could that be? Brown voted for RomneyCare and he continues to defend it. RomneyCare is a prime example of big government statism at its best.

>>>>>Brown ran on ... tax cuts...

Great, so does Ron Paul, but I won't ever be voting for Paul.

>>>>>Brown ran on ... a strong national defense

If you look at the roll call in the House and the Senate, I think you'll find a majority of Democrats vote for the annual Defense Appropriations Bill, year in and year out. I don't support any of those Democrats. Joe Lieberman and Rudy Giuliani backed Bush in the WOT. I won't be voting for them either.

Brown has no problem with Roe v Wade and abortion on demand. He believes women killing their unborn babies is a Constitutional right.

Reagan was an anti-abortion/pro-life champion long before Roe became the law of the land. Reagan protected the unborn with all the powers of his Presidency.
