Democrats See Massachusetts Message: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs

Liz Sidoti, AP National Political Writer –
Wed Jan 20, 9:45 pm ET

WASHINGTON – Wounded in Massachusetts, frustrated Democrats on Wednesday urged the White House to focus on jobs and the economy — not the health care overhaul that's now at risk — and pressed President Barack Obama to more forcefully make their case against Republicans ahead of potentially disastrous elections this fall.

On the day after the improbable Senate election of Republican Scott Brown in Massachusetts, Obama and his Democratic Party raced to re-evaluate their midterm election strategy, adjust their health care approach and assuage an angry electorate. The embarrassing defeat to the GOP in a Democratic stronghold was a bitter end to the president's first year in office, and it triggered furious party soul-searching.

"I would like the Democratic Party as a whole including its leader, the president, to speak clearly about the differences and to define those differences," Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, chairman of the Senate Democrats' campaign effort, told The Associated Press. And it's not just about Republicans and Democrats, he said: "We have to do a much better job of both engaging and delivering to independent voters."

Obama himself owned up to a failure to communicate.

"Obama himself owned up to a failure to communicate."

AAAGGGGHHHH!!!! Does that mean we will be forced to see and hear MORE of him? Actually, that might be GREAT thing! The more people see and hear Obomba, the more he is hated!

What liberals don't understand that the government cannot create jobs (unless they're on the government payroll).

The government is in the business of trying to destroy jobs with government intrusionm taxes, and other natural human disincentives.

The jack-asses in power now should have listened to Ronald Reagan.

How exactly does a "messiah" have a failure to communicate? I don't recall any red passages in the Bible that read something like, "I don't seem to be connecting here; let me clarify a few things..."...?

Of course jobs are an issue, but the dims themselves were all wee-weed up and warning MA residents about not being to pass healthcare if Scott was elected ... so guess what ... the voters chose him anyway. I believe taking over healthcare has more people p!ssed than anything else right now.

They all believe in the Public Market. This is “Managed Capitalism”. Communists finally realized that communism will not self sustain. They must allow enough of a free market to Their never ending social experiments but at the same time have totalitarian control over it and no political opposition. One Party Rule.

DemoRATs are so stupid, stupid, stupid, that they fail to realize that their own socialist agenda & ideology makes it IMPOSSIBLE for them to do anything about jobs, other than to see the free fall & hemoraging continuing.

Their so-called "jobs" emphasis is nothing more creating class warfare (mainstreet vs Wall street), creating more federal bureaucracies to "create" jobs which are nothing more than gubmint paid employees who don't manufacture, develop or produce anything, and continuing with their tax & spend programs. They are dumber than dirt!!!

All demoRATs want to do is to take from the "producers" who actually do create or work at jobs, and give to the "non-producers" who more than likely are incapable of holding onto any job for any length of time.

Rush had a great statement a few days ago.... 0bozo attacks the oil industry & anyone who works in the oil industry, he attacks insurance providers & anyone who works in the insurance industry, he attacks pharmacy companies & pharmeceutical workers, he attacks the health care profession, he attacks large businesses & small businesses, he attacks the banking industry....in short, 0bozo attacks & despises ANYONE who actually works for a living & pays an exorbitant amount of taxes.

DemoRATs & especially 0bozo the commie pig are not interested in the least in creating jobs....they are only concerned with re-phrasing the argument & re-casting themselves in a "new" light!!! Bastard commie pigs!!! Throw these traitors out of Washingtong and straight into prison or the gallows for high crimes & treason against the U.S.

In a year of hopping from crisis to crisis, he told ABC News, "we lost some of that sense of speaking directly to the American people about what their core values are.

Few things are as insufferable as a Harvard elitist condescendingly explaining to you "what your core values are."

Put a sock in it, RATS.

This is like a frustrated house cat turning to groom itself. Jobs is part of the problem that catapulted Scott Brown to power, but Rat sabotage of the future is a much bigger part.

Their “core” values were never revealed during the election..they never are, it’s only after they are elected their “core” values come out and they are rejected.

Destroying any hope of an economic recovery.

Last time they focused on “jobs” they spent our money to bail out irresponsible institutions. Some of which were irresponsible because they were prompted to be by the Government.

Sure, pivot to the Economy. The trouble is I’m expecting Act II of the Same. Tax, spend and further intrusion of government into the affairs of the private sector.

It isn’t enough to finally put their attention where it should have been. It’s their preferred solutions that have to be adjusted as well. Demonizing the very banks you set up to fail and YOU gave OUR money to when they did to bail out and then taxing them to line YOUR pockets ain’t going to do it.

Just think of how idiotic this is: “The worst recession since FDR blah blah blah, and NOW a YEAR into that recession we are going to START focusing on jobs”. What a failure Obama is.

Already the budget calls for a two trillion deficit this year requiring more exponential quantitative easing by the Fed.

And we need more jobs ie more borrowing and spending ?

Insanity. They are trying to destroy the country so they can re-make it.

heh, yeah, you keep thinkin’ that and spinnin’ it that way, AP/DEMOCRAT MACHINE.

Obama’s miserable failure is health AND jobs. Probably in that order...he is pushing an unpopular health plan down our throats and has wasted money in a promise for jobs.

Apparently even the zombie-Democrat voters of Massachusetts know Obama’s money-printing plan is bad.

In other words, Obama “acted stupidly”.
