BOSTON In an epic upset in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in a U.S. Senate election Tuesday that left President Barack Obama's health care overhaul in doubt and marred the end of his first year in office.
The loss by the once-favored Coakley for the seat that the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy held for nearly half a century signaled big political problems for the president's party this fall when House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates are on the ballot nationwide.

I have no doubt they tried to steal votes - after all, bussloads of SEIU “Purple People Beater” thugs showed up to “help out”....
Not one of those commentators would say that Obama is ramming it down our throats. Hell, Brown made it his theme. He told them. They refuse to get it. We are still flying underneath their radar. Novemeber will be an earthquake, as Obama will follow the Alinsky prescription of doulbling-down.
I’ll have what she’s having too. LOL
I am so thrilled!
I was just praying she’d lose because she cheated in so many ways to try and win.
People who cheat like that don’t deserve to win.
Michael Steele said the RNC “secretly contributed” to Brown’s campaign so that it would not draw hostile fire.
LOL.
DU is interesting right now, as expected.

He should wake up with Martha Croakley’s head in his bed!
now will the media wake up and see that they lost mass. will they realise the majority of the population is on our side will they start to do some real reporting.
That can’t be right! There is no light in those Libs’ heads. It is exploding dark matter.
All I can say is, “Hallelujah and HAHAHA!”
I’ll betcha Brown ASKED Steele NOT to be there...but, I’ve read there were RNC people there....and money, I think, too...
THERE IS A GOD....AND HE HAS A SICK SENSE OF HUMOR!!!!!
Only God could come up with something this funny. Teddy's seat (alright it belongs to the people) . 40 years worth of work. But Divine Providence sent Scott Brown here. Mary Jo, Jesus have forgiven Teddy and he is probably buying them a round at St. Peters Sports Bar and Grill in Heaven and toasting them.
Even Teddy thinks this is funny.
wish ted was alive so i could see the look on his face
Once they saw that they were slipping it was too late to get their game going.
True enough.
Why There Won't Be Exit Polls in Massachusetts
When asked whether "ACORN will try to steal the election for Martha Coakley," a surprising 25% of those surveyed in Massachusetts said "yes." A total of 38% said "no," and another 37% weren't sure. Lest you think concern about ACORN was limited to Republicans, one out of six Democrats thought ACORN would attempt electoral hanky-panky. One out of four African-Americans expressed the same concern, along with the same number of voters who called themselves moderates.
An aside to your "too late" considerations...
Applications for absentee ballots had to be submitted by last Friday, providing little opportunity for those with ill intent to organize such an effort once they realized the race had tightened up.
Snip...The Brown surge came so suddenly there was no time to plan anything devious beyond the usual negative commercials -- which in this race ran everywhere, including, for the first time in anyone's memory, The Weather Channel.
Yea. LOL!!!
Populism = anti-constitutional STATISM on behalf of those on the left side of the bell curve. I think a better term would be "conservative, constitutionalist activism."
Start calling and emailing Harry Reids office, tell to “SEAT SCOTT!”
Congratulations to Scott Brown and his family.
The scolding schoolmarm to tell us that when Democrats win it is all hope and change, but only “angry” people vote Republican.
Sickening bias.
Democrat electoral victories are manifestations of the will of the people.
Republican electoral victories are ‘the voters having a temper tantrum’, “loosing their minds”, or being a “wave of voter anger”.
Same tune, different lyrics.
