Sorry, I couldnt word it any more politely than that. But the very prospect of GOP Sen. George Voinovich of Ohio bailing on his party to cast a swan song 60th vote for the government health care takeover bill makes me want to spit nails.
Voinovich is meeting with President Obama at 11:30am Eastern today in the Oval Office.
Nate Nelson at the Rust Belt blog notes that since Voinovich has already announced his retirement, he has nothing to lose. Hes infamous for turning into a blubbering mass on the Senate floor while crusading for the illegal alien amnesty and voting against U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, for example. Remember this infamy?

I called this MONTHS ago. Voinivich is one of my senators. He is COMPLETELY unreliable, and given the fact that he’s retiring, he has no reelection to worry about. Voinivich CANNOT be trusted.
Thanks for posting the truth! Voinivich is not going to support Obamacare no matter what the rumors say. Your article just proves the reason for the visit.
Clearly, the Democrats already did that, long ago.
The Bush Justice Department
Many conservatives burrowed within the Department of Justice have long complained that Gonzales (and therefore, Bush) has permitted career government employees and hold-overs from Democratic Administrations to remain in perches of power and thereby water down conservative directives from the top. As one conservative and Federalist Society member in the Justice Department told me: This is definitely not Ronald Reagans Justice Department, I assure you. You have holdovers from Clinton calling the shots in a lot of places here.

Not trying to be a smartass, but could you please elaborate on your post? CC? Who is CC and why will CC people go crazy?
I hope Obama has a full box of hankies for the crybaby.
Beware Voinovich. He is a mendacious traitor and is mentally unstable. I’d jump in a fox hole with Al Franken before I’d rely on his sorry nutcase self. And, with nothing to lose, don’t be too surprised for him to resign in a nervous breakdown in the middle of all.
If it happens, I doubt we'll ever know.
if he could get 100% of Ohio’s Medicaid paid for with a hefty beer and pop tax in right-to-work states, no doubt he would do it
I like your attitude. And thanks for the heads up re: Cleveland clinic. This administration is like playing a giant game of whack-a-mole (for keeps), they just keep popping up with new devious tricks. Staying vigilant!
Actually no we don’t. RINOS are mercenaries. If we depend too much on them, then they will set the agenda and take over the party.
Yes, we do. We need to stop the Marxist take over. Hopefully we do that in 2010. In 2012 we get rid of the Marxist Kenyan and the RINOS.
I’m pretty sure that now that they REALLY need one a RINO will be found to do the Rats bidding.
You are so right. I just mentioned in a letter to our challenger for the governer’s race in Texas, Debra Medina, that Scott Brown has just fired the starting pistol for the race to unseat all government-loving incumbents across this country.
This race will give courage to voters to replace entrenched politicians even if and especially if the candidates come from working class or business owners; those with a heart to serve and listen to their fellow Americans.
This is a great day and FR and Tea Party movement played a major role in motivating the electorate in Massachusetts. We are already seeing Medina’s rise in the polls, similar to how Brown’s numbers rose so quickly.
As I urged fellow Texans, “Don’t make your choice of candidate from a position of fear, but from a couageous conviction to place the best leader in office.”
He's for small government, lower taxes, the death penalty, secure boarders, enhanced interrogations, trying terrorists in military tribunals, against partial birth abortions or public funding of abortions, against gay marriage and is against the federal government taking over health care.
How precisely is he a RINO? It's seems to me that this is a platform that could get him elected in Texas.
If he sells us out, may he rot in hell His constituents might help him get there if he does sell them out. However, it's more likely that Lieberman or a few vulnerable Democrat modeRATes up for re-election in 2010 may flip against ObamaCare, especially after seeing the results of today's Massachusetts Senate race. |
No matter how it comes down, the RATS are screwed in November. Obamacare will not be allowed to go forward. The people will not allow it.
If you check his vote history on major issues,
http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/members/v000126/key-votes/
you will see that he has voted against party leadership on several key issues.
Perhaps that is why Obama wanted to “talk” with him.
Voinobitch has NEVER been a republican. As a matter of fact he has NEVER shown that he was a MAN at all. Remember his crying .... tears and all about the tough decisions he had to make during the iraq war .... he sided with the dems after all that.
A worthless RINO ... but even moreso a worthless man of zero principle. Just one of many.
He was a waste as governor ... he has been a waste as a senator ... and I don’t doubt for a moment he will sell out to the commies.
It is who he is and who he has always been.
He deserves ZERO respect as a man or politician .. just another suit with nothing in it. Ohio republican party raises them, and ignores real people of integrity and values.
Recall the lack of support for Blackwell. There was none. GWB ignored him as well. We lost perhaps the only other conservative (steve chabot) to the hope and change crowd.
Other than Blackwell and chabot ... there is not much conservatism to cheer about in this state. Kasich .. another taft gungrabber has all sorts of ohio RINO support ... just like the other empty suit of all mouth no action Boehner.
Sorry nation ... it is what the RINO establishment produces here.
