Abortion
While this decision should ultimately be made by the woman in consultation with her doctor, I believe we need to reduce the number of abortions in America. I believe government has the responsibility to regulate in this area and I support parental consent and notification requirements and I oppose partial birth abortion. I also believe there are people of good will on both sides of the issue and we ought to work together to support and promote adoption as an alternative to abortion.
This is the 1st time I have read his views on my own, all I knew in the past is what I've read here on FR. Kinda middle of the road to me.
Read up on Brown and decide if you think he’s a “progressive” by Massachusetts standards....

>>Maybe so, but the bottom line is that the GOP is embracing ANOTHER Progressive, is it not? I hope I’m wrong. <<
From what I have read, Brown is center-right. Low tax, small government AGAINST government involvement with health care.
If you want a perfect Conservative, elect Rush or Shawn. If you want to keep the Socialists from taking over, elect those who at least SKEW in our direction.
Conservatives have a very bad history of getting involved one election too late. We need to get involved NOW for the 2010 and 2012 Generals, not wait until after the primary then complain about the R candidate. NY23 was a classic example of that.
In Tuesday's election, the choices are simple, the more- conservative or the more-liberal. That is the forced choice that we all must make. ]
Don't curse the choice; we all need to work hard earlier so we will have better choices.
Ronald Reagan said. “The man who agrees with me 80% is not a 20% traitor. He is a trusted friend and colleague.”
I just did, thank you.
Don’t you realize how incredibly significant this election is? We have the chance to intercept the football and change the direction of the game.
Scott Brown may not rate 100% conservative by your standards, but as your own home page shows, you only rate 75%.
I found this on the American Spectator comments section. Interesting:

I am a lifelong liberal tree-hugging registered Democrat and SEIU member from western MA. On Tuesday I intend to vote for Scott Brown although I know next to nothing about him or his positions and I know Martha Coakley to be a smart, thoroughly competent, and decent person who would be a good senator. Such is the depth of my complete disgust and disillusionment with Obama and the Democratic Party. And yes, SEIU operatives are indeed thuggish. They extort dues from our paychecks whether we “choose” to join the union or not.

The beer summit probably p#ssed off a lot of cops. The condescending remark "We all know the cops behaved stupidly..." probably had a lot to do with the cops endorsing Brown. Despite what the Bama thinks cops are not the stupid goons people like him and Sharpton like to think they are.
They are not for Brown.
This is just a ploy to send a message to barry to stay the course on his radical agenda. A little threat to say, do it our way or we will punish you at the polls.
Nothing more than bargaining.
Words of wisdom. I agree w/ you.
I was off a bit on the quote.
“The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally not a 20 percent traitor.”
Quoted on KCBS radio in 1972 by Reagan’s gubernatorial chief of staff.
Sorry
I saw a post here last night from someone who has a family member "on the inside" of the Massachusetts Democrat machine.
According to that poster, the word has gone out that this election is a "freebie", i.e., "vote however you want, without repercussions from the higher-ups."
Even MORE here from last night: Handicapped SEIU Member Barred from Coakley/Clinton Rally; Secret Service Forcibly Remove Foreign Coakley Supporter.
Be well
FReegards.
After reading Brown’s Senate webpage, I am beginning to understand. I’ve ALWAYS liked the guy, & appreciate his service in the military. He’s a good, honorable guy, IMO.
Its bad enough that Brown is poro-abortion, but now THIS? Thank God I dont live is Massachusetts.
Incorrect.
Here are our choices. 3 days before the election. There are no other alternatives.
I would respectfully suggest that 80% on our side is much much better then the person 100% in opposition to us.

Marta Coakley on Abortion
Supports Obama health care agenda which includes Govt funding for abortions with a opt out provision that states would be forced to choose or be required to pay for abortion on demand.
Just WOW....knock me over with a feather, why don'tcha?
