As a life-long fan of Peanuts, this royally pisses me off.
You know, I think it’s about time some books, plays and movies were produced where famous homosexuals turn out to be straight - how they go through the difficulty of accepting their heterosexuality, and finally have to come out to their families, friends and the world as being attracted to the opposite sex. And the whole point would be that we need to accept the difficulty of this self-discovery and support it, and teach our culture and especially children that it is okay to be straight, and that they should be proud to be heterosexuals and unafraid of receiving kneejerk, groupthink scorn, derision and hatred from gays.

The big media company that owns Peanuts is pretty lax about “fan art” but will be very interesting to see if they draw the line here. After all, even pro-gay Disney does not sanction gay Mickey Mouses.

The characters in ‘Peanuts’ were children, far too young to have decided on any sexual orientation. I can’t understand what the Schulz estate is thinking.

Several years ago before I gave up on it, Saturday Night Live ran one of their cartoons with the Peanuts kids the subject. Charlie and the kids realized that quickly waving their arms in the air could not only decorate Christmas trees, but could change other things.
Several instances of this included meeting Peppermint Patty and Marcie in their wading pool. They wave arms and the two girls become very well developed adults in thongs who begin to make out.
I think I recall the closing credit saying this was done with the consent of the Charles Schultz estate. Looked on youtube for the cartoon but didn’t find it. SNL is hostile to youtube.
Who knew Charlie Brown had a closet?
