CALLING ALL MASSACHUSETTS FREEPERS: INPUT NEEDED (Vanity)
January 15, 2010 | no dems

Calling all Massachusetts Freepers: I know there has to be some Bay State Freepers out there who can give us the "pulse" of the Brown/Coakley Race. What are people saying? How is the race looking this last weekend? Any other info you can give us.

I’m amazed at the strong prevailing wind that’s blowing across this very liberal state. People that I never would have dreamed are excited to vote for Scott Brown! Two Obama-voting liberal women that I know told me (separately) that they were voting for Brown. Each one said that they are sincerely frightened at the out of control spending by the Democrats in Congress. They’re afraid of the Obamacare monstrosity, too.
Only a few hard-core local moonbats are sporting Coakley stickers. There is BIG TIME change in the wind! Scott Brown is going to win going away!

You've been around long enough to know how to ignore the comments of know it alls.

You decision to support your candidate financially, far outweighs the needs of FR, but just keep in mind that FR has been a steady source of info from the day of it's inception.

Bay State FReeper reporting, as requested.

Weather will NOT be a factor in the voter turnout on Tuesday, dagnabbit.

Local TV is PACKED with political ads, with 10 or more running in a row, back to back, around the dinner hour. People are getting sick of them. The TV ads are running about 8:1 for Coakley, which includes SEIU and DSCC ads. I’m almost amused at how they use the word “Republican” like a hideous insult. Brown might do well to remind people that we had low unemployment and no terrorist attacks after 9/11 under Bush. The Dem meme that Bush was the worst president EVER needs to be challenged.

People do NOT get real news from Boston media, so there has been next to no coverage of the shoving incident or the Massachusett(e)s or Twin Towers mistakes. People who get their news online are much better served than they are from Boston media.

Brown seems to connect with “real people” better while everybody knows Coakley is a hack. As a resident of Middlesex County, where she was the DA before becoming AG, I have a better memory of her lousy performance than most Bay Staters. Brown would do himself a favor if he took the gloves off and attacked her miserable record as both DA and AG. He should also spend more on printing up bumper stickers, which seem scarce.

From my perspective, independents and Republicans are heavily favoring Brown, while Democrats (as is typical in Massachusetts) would vote for Satan himself if he had a “D” after his name. That being said, I do detect some Obama remorse among Mass. Democrats (remember, Hillary beat The One here in the 2008 primaries) but it isn’t enough to carry the day. This one will be close.

I do sense some panic among the Dems, so watch out for dirty tricks. Poll watchers are needed in EVERY precinct to keep the graveyard voters in their tombs. Nobody I know ever admitted voting for Teddy, but he kept getting re-elected.

We would love to see Scott Brown visit the Merrimack Valley, but we know there are bluer corners of the state that need more attention. After Jim Ogonowski gave Niki the Dunce a good run, we know Republicans stand at least a fighting chance in the Lowell suburbs.

See you on Tuesday!

Merrimack Valley, Lowell, MA area, here.

There’s concern about the number of absentee ballots being requested, which have far exceeded any election to date. There’s also concern about the SEIU buses rolling in.

All absentee ballots that were to be handed out, have been. Historically, many city/town clerk’s offices close early on Friday and being the Friday before a holiday, even more closed early. Absentee ballots had to be picked up by today. The purple buses are too late to try to ‘manipulate’ the absentee ballots.

Have only seen one Coakley sign on the side of a road in the mud and snow, on property owned by no one. Hand made lawn signs are all over the area. Not one person I’ve talked to has said they’re voting for Coakley.

Wild Bill Clinton was here today, and The Messiah is due in on Sunday. With his track record endorsing Corsine and Deeds, he’s batting 0.

Let’s hope this keeps up; I’ve never seen such enthusiasm for an election. GO SCOTT!

I am becoming disillusioned with FR and their quest for the PERFECT Republican.

Agree completely. Those who insist on absolute single-issue purity (and we all know what that issue is) will eventually condemn all of us to totalitarian Communist rule.

Lord, I pray you’re right...I think cheating on the part of the dems is the only thing standing in the way of a Brown win..

Another thread posted here this evening said that a lot of MA Dems were not “on the ground” for Coakley. A lot of Dem pols want her to lose so their favorite Dem can challenge Scott Brown in 2012. They know if Coakley gets in, she’ll be in for 30 years, and there are a lot of people who want to run for that seat in 2012.

That’s encouraging, but, you guys don’t let up. Use this upcoming 3-Day Weekend to make a final push for Scott Brown.

All eyes will be on Massachusetts Tuesday. I can’t remember a more important election. I hope people will be on hand to watch for fraud and irregularities which are almost guaranteed to occur.

B. Hussein Obama will cancel at the last minute and will use the Haiti Relief Effort as his excuse. He knows that after VA and NJ, MA would be “strike 3” for him and his ego won’t let that happen.

I’ll give you a short antidote. My commute takes me south on Rt 3 from NH trying to get to Alewife at Rt 2 & 16. If the traffic is bad I take side roads through Chelmsford, Bedford, Concord, Carlisle, Lincoln, Lexington.....and so on. During the general election when taking these roads all I saw was Obama signs and signs for local dems. Not too many McCain Palin signs. Now all I see is Brown signs and more signs in total that was in November. It is more than completely opposite.

I want to walk in to that polling place on election day and vote for him... I will be in town on election day and did not need an absentee ballot.

I will walk through a snowstorm or whatever to vote for him.

“I have been a loyal contributor to FR for over 12 years. I am holding back this year. I am becoming disillusioned with FR and their quest for the PERFECT Republican.”

.............I agree. It’s unrealistically nasty and just a hate center for people to vent in about “Rinos” when the real problem is DEM....of course it’s better when the candidate is a true conservative, but the hatred vented at Romney and others is sick and childish at FR. (Most of those posters also commit the majority of grammar and spelling mistakes, too, so you can see the grim IQ deficits at play.) GO SCOTT BROWN!
