I dont know what it is about Sarah Palin that sets people off, but there is very little in between. The reaction people have to Sarah Palin is very much the reaction many people have to Jesus both offend and disgust the secular values of some and with others failing to embrace either sends you straight to hell. Judging by my conversation with Governor Palin a few weeks ago when I asked her why the left has more compassion for Al Qaeda than for conservative women and minorities, I think she gets it and finds some humor in it.
--snip--
I understand that a great many of Palins supporters, myself included, have felt on the defensive for a while. The media genuinely hates this woman. The left is more revolted by Palin than they ever were by Bush.
I get that.
But I also get that there are Republicans who like even love Sarah Palin who think some of her handlers might not give her the best of advice or think she should or should not do one thing or another. And im finding, both from personal experience and the experience of friends, that when those points are brought up, the person raising the point is often inappropriately attacked as a Palin hater.

The criticism that I’ve seen recently is petty stuff such as not going to CPAC but IS going to a tea party that isn’t non-profit. That’s petty nit picky. They aren’t disagreeing with a political stand. They are disagreeing with Palins personal choices.
I'm frankly appalled that there are those within the GOP who are not only willing to leave their prized filly behind at the farm during the Kentucky Derby but also to shoot her so that old nags and broken-down plough horses can run instead.
I agree with you, that GW (Bush) walked the walk. Many here judge him unfairly severely.
The author is a Palin supporter, so I think that’s what side he’s on (to answer the title question).
That is impossible, the Obama people that worship Obama are the non religious and empty, Governor Palin's supporters are not those people.
Palin's backers respect Palin for her politics and her political courage, and are conservative middle Americans that tend to be the faithful as well, they don't worship politicians, they back them for office and defend them against the opposition and display sound human support and loyalty as long as that is a two way street, which it is with Sarah Palin.
Good points all/ and 'said well' for sure/lol.
Still; and again; as much as I admire Sarah; when I hear people speak and offer if she is NOT THE candidate; that they will walk; or that she is our 'ONLY' hope'. . .I get nervous (as I did upon hearing Glenn Beck offer per his interview with Sarah yesterday). We need to clear our plate; and focus on the basic - and critical - changes needed for our Country - and Constitution - so that our Country does in fact, survive. We need to identify our enemies; here in America; and not just across the globe. Our Military; our Economy need the benefit of those whose values we share and we need to honor and abide by our Constitution. Heaping issues upon issues and 'social MO's' cannot satisfy everyone, for sure.
Repubs are not yet, out of trouble.
Appreciate and support Conservative values; just want to concentrate on the most critical ones; as time is of the essence. If we get that right; chances are the rest of the 'Good', WILL fall into place; if not; it will in subsequent elections.
Am offering the 'paired down and critical' because EVERY Republican can get on board. And we need every Repub on board; and on the same train. IMHO; of course/sigh. . .
In the Old Testament, strong godly women were raised up by God when Israel was in dire straits. (Deborah!)
Even without a title. God has been using her to wake up this country and stir things upwhether itd be about abortion, our treatment of the disabled, or our pathetic idolatry of ObamaHes really used her in ways I dont think she even realizes. Her light is just too bright to handlethats why shes so polarizing. Her actions speak so much louder than her wordsand not so much her political actions as her personal actions. They seem so simple right? Holding and cradling baby Trig? But THATS exactly why people are so deeply offended by the sight of her.
But she is NO Jesus, she merely reflects aspects of Jesus in a dark, Christless culture and the light can be blinding and overwhelming.
Its not even 2011 yet. This is ridiculous. She gets more coverage than Obama. :)
Who knows by 2011, Obama may convert to Christianity and that would be really ...strange and dramatic, but its possible. God commands us to pray for our leaders in place as much as the people we’d want “to win.”
No, Homosexuality is the dividing force, along with all the perversion that comes with it.
You really don't understand the Palin supporters do you?
Both walk on water.
To be fair, it is usually frozen when Sarah does it. ;)LOLOL!
Excellent, anymouse!An ALASKAN Christian joke!
Problem is that there really is nobody else.
If she decides to run in the GOP primaries in 2012 and loses fair and square, then so be it.
HOWEVER, if she runs and loses because of Republican skullduggery so that "next-in-line" Mitt Romney is the nominee, then I am finished with the party for good. I will not vote for Mitt under any circumstance, and will either stay home or go 3rd Party if he is the GOP standard bearer. I suspect that I will not be alone.
It is not income they want to redistribute, it is wealth.
Lot of wisdom in that paragraph.
“All those that live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.”. (II Timothy 3:12)
Not “may”, not “could” but “WILL”.
I believe she lives her faith. That alerts all Hell’s demons on the earth. That explains the Demonrats’ reaction to Governor Palin.
They want to tax our income at draconian rates to keep us lowly plebes from actually gaining any wealth.
I once made the mistake of pointing out to my idiot lib lab partner who wanted to “tax the rich” that taxes on income are taxes on those TRYING to GET rich. He immediately wanted a “tax” on wealth.
They hate Jesus, and they hate those that love Jesus, simple as that.
True enough, I should have said "Other peoples wealth, and those trying to gain it."
They want to share the resources of this country with the world, as in the Law of The Sea Treaty (LOST). God help us.
True. But I'm not sure about some of her admirers.
