Gibbs: "It never ceases to amaze that in times of amazing human suffering, somebody says something that could be so utterly stupid, but, it, like clockwork, happens with some regularity."

You and the White House are taking Pat’s comments out of context and using them for your own agendas.
They were under the heel of the French, you know Napoleon the third and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said We will serve you if you will get us free from the prince. True story. And so the devil said, Ok its a deal. And they kicked the French out. The Haitians revolted and got something themselves free. But ever since they have been cursed by one thing after another, Robertson said.

Interesting comment.
I disagree with Robertson, and think his statement was totally inappropriate. However, having stated that, the Left in this country needs its devils and demons, and in this case it’s Robertson and Limbaugh. Let’s vent all our anger and frustration at Robertson and Limbaugh. The problem isn’t the esrthquake, or that Haiti has been a poorly run country with no infrastructure, the problem is Robertson and Limbaugh.
I don’t believe God punished the Haitians, or that he punished the New Orleans people.
But the bad choices both of those places made in their leadership certainly came back to haunt them.
'Course people in police polite society never misspeak.
Gibbs said Robertson said was utterly stupid.
What liberals (and the MSM) will hear is "all right wing tea baggers clinging to their guns and bibles are utterly stupid."
LOL! Dude.....I can walk into the nearest church here any Sunday and be damned to hell for my evil ways, then we pass the plate and carry on.....get a grip.
Yeah, sorta like "AIDS was created by the government to kill people of color".
"commander zero" and Michelle sat in the front row smilin' and hootin' when rev. wright made such statements and never denounced them.

Operation Blessing, PR well respected Charity has been in Haiti and worldwide for decades.
PR program the night of his "infamous" and actual words.
The "...and whatever" was the first clue that Pat didn't know what he was talking about.
I don’t think Pat meant ill of the Haitians, but he doesn’t know what he is talking about.
First, if you look at Luke 13, or John 9, Jesus made it clear that those who suffer from catastrophes or physical infirmities (blindness, deafness), did not experience these things because they were “worse sinners than all other men”.
It is interesting that Jesus does not explain why these tragic events happen - but, he warns his listeners that “unless you repent you will all likewise perish”. What He means by this is that all of us are sinners, all of us are physically going to die one day.
So, Jesus was telling his disciples that what they need to do - and do asap - is repent and “get right” with God. Why? Because no one of us knows, generally speaking of course, when or how we will die - but the fact remains that we are all moment by moment heading for the grave. Every passing day and moment brings us ever closer to that event. The question Jesus has for us is “Are you ready?”.
The point is, the Haitians have not experienced this terrible earthquake because they were worse sinners than others - God does not give us a reason for why this happens or why the people that were in the Twin Towers died on September 11. The reality is that death is coming to us all - the question still is - Are you ready?
AMEN!!!!!!!!
If I knew how, I would make the text huge, bold and underlined!!!!
You are so right on. You can not invite Satan to be the “god” of your nation and not expect the wrath of God to befall you at some point. While I don’t know if this was a deliberate puninshment (seems to me the punishment has been the cutoff of the flow of blessings by God all these years) by God, He is in control of the earth and its movements and He certainly could have spared them this earthquake had He so chosen. To say that He did not allow it is just wrong!
All that being said, we must all reach out to them and love on them. The greatest expression of which, would to be to tell them about Jesus. It is my prayer that out of this, this nation will reject Satan and voodoo and there will be a revival as never seen before.
Of course, that’s not what Pat Robertson said. He simply acknowledged that some good may result from this terrible tragedy. FWIW, I too pray that some good result from this terrible tragedy.
That’s historically true. And surely you wouldn’t say that Haiti has experienced blessing?
It looks like people are jumping on soundbites without understanding that Operation Blessing is already on the ground in Haiti. Pat isn’t immune or hardened to the plight of the Haitians. He was making a point. I think it was inappropriate considering, but, he has sent more to help than the WH idiots. This is just another chance for the anti-Christian rhetoric to paint all Christians as cold and unfeeling and stupid. Shame that some of you are buying into this. Yet, Harry Reid gets a pass and it took zero 6 months to make a decision on Afghanistan and 100 hours to comment on the panty bomber. Yet, there they are - front and center immediately condemning Pat Robertson immediately. True to form!
what am i supposed to get a grip on?
Rush’s comments? I heard what Rush said and he only stated not to give aid through the government. He, in no way, said to not help. Once again, I stand amazed at some on this site.
