A former chief United Nations weapons inspector is accused of contacting what he thought was a 15-year-old girl in an Internet chat room, engaging in a sexual conversation and showing himself masturbating on a Web camera. Scott Ritter of Delmar, N.Y., who served as chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991-98 and who was an outspoken critic of the second Bush administration in the run-up to the war in Iraq, is accused of contacting what turned out to be a Barrett Township police officer posing undercover as a teen girl.

My comment was related to how a lot of these international “public servants” end up as rich as Croesus. They own property in New York and assorted other places. I wasn’t even thinking about the Achmed aspect. Wouldn’t surprise me if there were connections.
FREEPers knew of Ritter’s propensity towards minor years ago. Most likely, Iraqi Intelligence knew as well and that is why Mr. Ritter change from Clinton critic, there are WMD’s and the UN sucks, to Mr. Bush and the Neo Con’s are lying to make war...
He’s screwed because Pennsylvania has been throwing the book at internet chat perverts lately. The law just handed a couple of guys in Adams County thirty year prison sentences for doing the same thing.
It’s just that I thought he was only into boys. I’m shocked that he’s into girls, but nothing else about this surprises me. Unfortunately.
He obviously did. One day he’s screaming about Saddam’s flagrant violations of the sanctions, the next, he’s a star character witness for the dictator. And then he gets half a million to make the pro-Saddam film “In Shifting Sands” (who gives that kind of money for a “documentary” to someone with no filmmaking experience?). When you factor in his taste for little girls, it’s glaringly apparent what happened with this guy.
When he’s finished doing his time for his sex crimes against children, he should be hanged for treason.

It could not happen to a nicer guy. I think some of this stuff is heavy handed and entrapment in some cases. The pols and prison companies looking to keep the prison industry busy. Too easy to set someone up and with Obama’s goons in control, an easy way to make critics go away.
If a person actually touches a kid then it is a different story. Chemical castration - get caught again - get the knife out.

I remember thinking that he was making his criticisms in such an outspoken manner like a person being blackmailed. Someone had the dirt on him and he sold his soul to keep it quiet.

You are right on target. A lot of this went on, and is probably going on right now. When you scratch the skin of an outrageous traitor you find a blackmailed scumbag underneath.
Probably Saddam’s boys had a tape on him doing something. Too bad it hasn’t turned up. Ritter’s credibility is toast anyway. There is no reason to protect him anymore.
