SANTA ANA – An Anaheim Hills mother who survived a brutal attack that ended the lives of her husband and daughter appeared in court Tuesday to describe the events of that horrid day during a preliminary hearing.
Leela said Murtaza, who sat at the end of the counsel table wearing a dress shirt, a sweater and glasses, was the man who slit her throat.
"Murtaza put a knife underneath my chin," she said as she moved her hand from left to right across her throat.
Leela said she spent two months in the hospital recovering from her injuries, including four stab wounds to her stomach and burns to her right hand.

Senior Deputy District Attorney Howard Gundy says: "His motivation was to kill everyone in her,(the daughter's,) immediate family so she would have no one but him and that he could keep her," Gundy said.
Another example of Islam’s being a “Religion of Peace” and its respect for women.
It would have ok if she had said "he was inarticulate and dark skinned".
And take San Quentin's DR with them at the same time, including Scott Peterson. Far too long.
The victim's families are the only ones who should be given resolve and resolution.

I found the political incorrectness of this article shocking. Shocking and very refreshing.
Wish I could say the story is shocking, disgusting, yes, shocking...no.
Is Murtaza Pakistani?
Yes, it was a disgusting and gruesome crime. The fact that it took place in Anaheim Hills, one of the most affluent and crime free areas of Orange County was shocking. What I found shocking was the candid reporting.
Iftekhar Murtaza was arrested on May 26 at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport trying to board a plane to Bangladesh with a one-way ticket. His attorney said that Mr. Murtaza was planning to visit his ailing grandmother.

Authorities then arrested 21-year-old Vitaly Krasnoperov, who was picked up on June 14, 2007 in Chandler, Ariz. where cops say he was visiting a friend. Murtaza and Krasnoperov have since both pled not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. I don't believe Islamic law prohibits a Muslim man from forcibly taking a woman of any other religion--forcing her to convert to Islam--and then marrying her...
And naturally once the "marriage" occurs, the girl is considered the absolute legal property of the Muslim man...
Actually it does...Muslim men can only marry Muslim, Christian or Jewish women.
Two years ago when this perp was caught, he was at an airport with a one way ticket to Bangladesh, which he obviously holds more allegiance to than the USA. Now, someone tell me how well these second generation muslims are ‘assimilating’...?????
