Michelle Obama: No First-Year Do-Overs First lady says White House hiccups in 2009 were part of "learning" process. "The things that have worked and the things that haven't worked are all a part of making this experience what it is and getting us all ready for this coming year," said first lady Michelle Obama.
WASHINGTON - Michelle Obama reflected on her first year in the White House on Wednesday and calmly claimed no need for any do-overs: Even the things that didn't go quite right were part of the learning curve, the first lady said, and that includes the November state dinner penetrated by three party-crashers.
"The evening was so wonderful and it was so well-orchestrated that for me, the other stuff that everybody is talking about is a footnote to what the state dinner actually was," she said. "So I wouldn't do that over."
Overall, Mrs. Obama said, "the things that have worked and the things that haven't worked are all a part of making this experience what it is and getting us all ready for this coming year."

Maybe if she and her social climbing husband hadn’t fired the people who KNOW HOW the White House is supposed to be run there wouldn’t have been a learning curve.
Let’s see. She has learned how to waste a great deal of money that is not hers.
There’s no need for any do-overs when what you’ve planned is taking root - they’ve accomplished more than they expected to be able to accomplish with the take-over of two of three auto companies; the take-over of the banking and finance industry and the housing market; they’re well on their way to the cap-and-trade legislation they want; they believe they have the HC bill sewn up; and, Global Climate Change is also going well for them. Yes indeed. By the end of 2010 they should have near complete control of this nation’s economy and be well on their way to turning this country into a turd world nation.

That’s an appalling statement, when you think of it. As always with the Obamas, it’s all about them. Being POTUS isn’t about an individual’s grand lifetime experience, much less a clinical experiment that might work, or not. They are treating it as THEIR experience, rather than their being part of an ongoing experience (that they seem to be determined to end) of a representative democracy.
But do you think this year she will dump the boob belts, speaking of things that really didn’t work?

I like to believe that someday we’ll all look back on this faux presidency the way we look back on the ‘70s. You know, when you see pictures of yourself in plaid bell-bottoms or hear the song “Muskrat Love”, and you think “Good Golly Miss Molly, what were we THINKING?”
